Trevor Philips Says Discussing A Child’s Color Within A Family Is Not Racist

Trevor Philips Says Discussing A Child's Color Within A Family Is Not RacistPrince Harry and Meghan Markle have finally played their ace card against the Royal Family: the racism card.

I’d love to remind everyone that this is the only claim the couple have made since quitting the Royal Family that William has deigned to reply. His words at the time were,“we’re very much not a racist family.” Trevor Philips seems to agree with this sentiment.

Trevor Philips Calls Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Racist Claims “Nonsense”

Sir Trevor Philips is best known for his work as a presenter and anti-racism campaigner, and in the latest “royal racist” storm stirred by Scobie’s “Endgame,” he’s decided to weigh in on the drama.

“I’ll be absolutely frank and say I think it’s a nonsense story,” he said. He added that his family had the same discussions about his youngest grandson, and that he felt it’s the same as discussing a baby’s eyes.

He addressed the issue during his Sunday show on Sky News, saying, “It’s unlikely we’re going to spend much time on that because I’ll be absolutely frank and say I think it’s a nonsense story. I think that there is no family of colour anywhere in the entire world where that conversation doesn’t take place.”

“I have a grandson who is absolutely gorgeous and delicious, I wish I could show you a photograph of him, and of course we as a family talk about is he going to look more like his mother, who looks like me, or his father, who is of Puerto Rican heritage,” he continued, noting that the conversations are nothing more than innocent presumptions.

In fact, one royal fan insisted that Meghan Markle herself must be a racist to make something out of it.

At the moment, Harry and Meghan refuse to share the context of this discussions, though Harry did seem to backpedal and brand it “unconscious bias” during his “Spare” promotion era.
