Sister Wives: Did Gwendlyn Brown Retract Kody’s Abuse Allegations?

Sister Wives fans heard allegations of abuse towards the kids from Paedon Brown and later, Gwendlyn Brown reportedly claimed that her dad, Kody physically hurt her when she was a kid. After watching Season 17 on TLC, a lot of fans can believe that Kody Brown might have been aggressive with the kids. But, did Gwendlyn retract what she said about him?

Sister Wives – Fans Already Questioned Gwendyn Brown

Paedon started off the allegations of abuse when he accused Meri of being more than verbally abusive. Mykelti also addressed it after Gwendlyn claimed she only ever saw Meri being physical with her once. By now, you might have heard that when she commented on Season 17 Episode 10, Gwen claimed that her father would sometimes “throw” her up “in the air” to intimidate her. Additionally, she claimed that her dad sometimes spanked her so hard that he left “bruises.” 

Sister Wives fans seemed a bit confused when Without A Crystal Ball shared the claims on Instagram. One of them felt that Gwen was flip-flopping. At the time, @danielamonduy said, “She literally had just said that Kody didn’t hit her. I don’t like Gwen she is always so flip flop on everything. But not surprised Kody would, he has anger issues.” Apparently, that came on a video that was deleted when she roasted her brother, Paedon.

Sister Wives – Gwen Brown Retracts On Kody Brown’s Abuse

Starcasm reported the claims of abuse which originated on Patreon. This weekend, TV Shows Ace also wrote about it. According to the outlet, Redditors discovered that the original video on Patreon contained the bit about abuse. The outlet wrote, “While Gwendlyn did upload her reaction to the episode to YouTube as she typically does, it wasn’t until after the portion of her answering the question of abuse was edited out of the video.”

Naturally, that leads to speculation by Sister Wives fans that Kody might have made her take it out. Bear in mind, even Paedon told John Yates on YouTube that a lot of people in the family rely on the show for income. So, possibly Christine told her daughter to take the abuse allegations down. In fact, Gwendlyn Brown seems like an intelligent person, so maybe she decided it should be removed from the original.

Sister Wives – A Full Retraction?

TV Shows Ace noted that the Sister Wives star hasn’t issued a formal statement to say that her dad never spanked her so hard that she got bruises. So, there exists the possibility that her dad did cause her physical bruising when he spanked her as a kid. But, she just doesn’t want it out there for some personal reason.
