Royal Family News – Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Mentioned At Lisa Marie Presley’s Funeral

According to reports, Pastor AC Whatron detailed the moment that Lisa Marie’s parents Elvis and Prisceilla Presley met and became rock and roll royalty. He also named Harry and Meghan during his eulogy.

He said, “Before Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan had Jack, before Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn had Wyatt, before Lennie Kravitz and Lisa Bonet had Zoe. Before Pink and Corey Hart had Willow and, yes, before Jay Z and Beyonce had Blue Ivy, and long before Harry and Meghan had Archie.”

Wharton continued, “Right here, right here, in this city, our own royal couple Elvis and Priscilla had a beautiful bundle of joy named Lisa Marie. It was 1968, it was the best of times and the worst of times, very trying times in our city. God knows it was a hard year in Memphis. But 54 years ago, there was a star shining right here at Graceland at the birth of this precious angel.”

Lisa’s mother Priscilla Presley also released a statement about her daughter’s death to People magazine. She wrote, “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.”

Lisa Marie had looked a little unstable only a few days before her death at the 2023 Golden Globes. During one interview, she had the grab the arm of Jerry Schilling, Elvis Presley’s longtime friend, while she was speaking to Billy Bush. A lot of people also noticed that she looked quite frail.

In 2020, Lisa Marie Presley’s son Benjamin Keough died by suicide at the age of 27. Back in July, she shared an Instagram post of their matching foot tattoos. She also wrote an essay for National Grief Awareness Day, in which she opened up about the loss of her son.

“My and my three daughters’ lives as we knew it were completely detonated and destroyed by his death. We live in this every. Single. Day,” she wrote. “Grief is something you will have to carry with you for the rest of your life, in spite of what certain people or our culture wants us to believe. You do not ‘get over it,’ you do not ‘move on,’ period.”
