There are new reports that says Lisa Marie Presley, who was the only child of Elvis Presley, has died at the age of 54 only a few hours after she was hospitalized for cardiac arrest. According to reports, Lisa Marie had been rushed to a hospital only a few hours before she was pronounced dead. “Priscilla Presley and the Presley family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Lisa Marie,” the family said in a statement. “They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”

Lisa’s mother Priscilla Presley also released a statement about her daughter’s death to People magazine. She wrote, “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.”

Lisa Marie had looked a little unstable only a few days before her death at the 2023 Golden Globes. During one interview, she had the grab the arm of Jerry Schilling, Elvis Presley’s longtime friend, while she was speaking to Billy Bush. A lot of people also noticed that she looked quite frail.

Lisa Marie’s Life Was Full Of Grief

In 2020, Lisa Marie Presley’s son Benjamin Keough died by suicide at the age of 27. Back in July, she shared an Instagram post of their matching foot tattoos. She also wrote an essay for National Grief Awareness Day, in which she opened up about the loss of her son.

“My and my three daughters’ lives as we knew it were completely detonated and destroyed by his death. We live in this every. Single. Day,” she wrote. “Grief is something you will have to carry with you for the rest of your life, in spite of what certain people or our culture wants us to believe. You do not ‘get over it,’ you do not ‘move on,’ period.”

Lisa Marie also said that it’s her family and her daughter that had kept her going.

“I keep going for my girls,” she wrote. “I keep going because my son made it very clear in his final moments that taking care of his little sisters and looking out for them were on the forefront of his concerns and his mind. He absolutely adored them and they him.”
