Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are currently weathering the storm coming from Omid Scobie’s “Endgame” book, and it may yet prove to be a fatal one for their Hollywood dreams.
Already, there’s whisperings WME may cut her and Hollywood insiders say Hollywood execs are finding the couple’s atmosphere too toxic to work with them.
At this point, it’s easy to see that rebranding will have to be put aside and damage control brought to the forefront.
The couple will need to do 2024 better or their career may not be what it ought to be.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Can Still Salvage Their Difficult Standing
The public was not particularly pleased with Omid Scobie’s “Endgame” naming two royal racists and it’s threatening to shake the Sussexes out of their very foundations.
Per PR expert Laura Perkes, Harry and Meghan need to build a support network that they can be vulnerable and honest with.
Talking exclusively to The Mirror, she said: “The situation with Harry and Meghan is undoubtedly hard on everyone involved. And while much of this has been brought on by them, or involves them in some way, it must be emotionally draining on them, their relationship with friends as well as each other. I hope they’re learning on their support network in private and being honest and vulnerable with their feelings.”
She continued: “It can’t be easy living your life under the watchful eye of the public and the media, so turning to their celebrity friends who can, to some extent, relate to their situation will provide the salvation they need. It may be difficult for Harry to open up and feel secure in his vulnerability as he’s been brought up in a family that ‘never complains, never explains.’”
Prince Harry’s “Never Complain, Never Explain” Upbringing Won’t Help Him In Hollywood, Expert Says
During his days with the Royal Family, Harry towed the line of the famous mantra, “never complain, never explain,” but since leaving the institution three years ago, he’s been mostly vulnerable with his past traumas and feelings.
According to Laura, his past is exactly the reason he needs a support network to help process the guilt he may feel from “oversharing.”
“He’s not used to being vocal about his feelings and emotions, so he’ll need a support network around him that he can turn to and trust,” Laura said before adding: “When their celebrity friends have publicly defended them in the past, they’ve also received backlash and negative press, which they probably want to avoid.”
She added that while this celebrity support may not be visible to the public, it exists. “So while we may not see a public display of solidarity from their celebrity pals, I do hope that their friends are rallying around them in private and offering words of advice that will help the couple make positive choices in the future.”
