Mayans MC Season 5 Premiere Date – When Will FX Show Return?

Does Mayans MC Season 5 have a premiere date on FX yet?  Sons of Anarchy and Mayans MC fans have been itching for new episodes of the series.  Despite some rumors that have been cropping up on social media, we can confirm that Mayans MC is not over yet and Season 5 should return this year.

While FX has not made an official season 5 premiere date announcement, we do know that the Mayans have already filmed some new scenes and production is officially underway.  The Season 4 finale aired in June 2022 and a month later the network announced that Mayans MC was renewed for Season 5.  Rumor has it the new episodes will begin airing in late Spring 2023.

However, there is some sad news regarding the Mayans MC Season 5 premiere, it will be the final episodes of the Sons of Anarchy spinoff.  After FX announced that the series had been renewed for a fifth season, a press release was published a few days later explaining that Season 5 would be the popular drama’s last season.

Regarding the shocking news, FX Entertainment President of Original Programming Nick Grad released this statement, “The Mayans have battled for respect, territory and power through four intense seasons that have set the stage for an explosive fifth season that will test their very survival under EZ’s newly claimed leadership.”

Grad added, “Elgin James and the creative team, the brilliant cast, crew and our partners at 20th Television have kept fans coming back for more and we are ready to take that ride with them for another season.”
