Joy-Anna Forsyth Shares With Fans Why She Decided To Wear Pants

Duggar FamilyDuggar Family News reveals that Joy-Anna Forsyth wanted to open up more with her fans about why she has started to wear pants. Joy-Anna and her siblings were raised to believe that they needed to dress in a very modest way.

Her family’s religion, the Institute in Basic Life Principles, preaches that women should not wear pants or shorts, but only long dresses and skirts. Joy-Anna has started to wear pants and of course, her fans wanted to know why. She opened up more to them in a new post on her YouTube channel.

Duggar Family News – The Pants Debate

Joy-Anna and her husband, Austin Forsyth, post regularly on their YouTube channel. This is one of the ways that they make money. In her recent post, she told fans, “We felt like there wasn’t anything in the scripture that’s black and white on dress. I think biblically, we just kind of looked through scripture for a long time and feel like this is OK for our family.” She went on to tell fans that she started talking about her clothing about a year into their marriage.

Joy-Anna added, “I had always worn skirts my whole life and so for me, like I don’t know, I just wasn’t in a rush. I feel like you can be modest and wear pants and that’s kind of where we came to. I do try to be modest in my pants, like in wearing pants, and not things too tight or too short.”

Of course, there are other Duggar women who have decided to change their outlook on what they learned from their religion. One of these issues was birth control and Jessa Seewald broke her silence on her ideas about birth control.

She told her fans that she was no longer “against birth control.” She said, “Biblically speaking, there’s no category for birth control being wrong. We know the truth that children are a blessing from the Lord, but like with any blessing, it’s fine to manage that.”

Duggar Family News – The Rebellious Duggars

Not only do Jessa and Joy-Anna wear pants, but Jinger Vuolo does as well. She actually released her memoir exposing the family’s religion. Jinger wrote that her religion made her suffer from harsh anxiety.

She was constantly looking over her shoulder because she thought that God would just come down and punish her for any reason. She has gotten a lot of backlash from those in the religion and also her family.

It turns out that the Duggar women have all started to make their own choices and developed their own opinions on what their parents taught them growing up. We will continue to keep an eye on their social media accounts for any new details.
