GH Spoilers: Nina Wants A Welcome Into Sonny’s World, But He Won’t Allow It

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is struggling to come to terms with the new boundaries Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is enforcing in their relationship. To be fair, the boundaries were always there, and Nina is the one who set them.

From the start, she said she didn’t want to know anything about Sonny’s criminal entanglements. The less she knows, the better, and generally Sonny would agree with that. So, when Nina starts getting antsy because Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is still in the loop that she has carved herself out of, Sonny isn’t going to understand her sudden about face in wanting to be clued in.

When Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) stopped by Nina’s place after she got back into town, Nina couldn’t have been more thrilled to see a friendly face. She was feeling lonely, spending the night by herself under the news rules Sonny unilaterally had to place on their relationship.

He did remind Nina that she wanted no news about what was going on, but now that she’s worried, it hits differently. So when she stopped by Sonny’s wanting to talk about the parameters of their relationship, she was unnerved to see Carly had beat her to the punch.

Nina is going to insist that Sonny loop her into whatever is going on. She doesn’t want to be left out in the dark if Carly isn’t — and that’s what is going to hit hard with Sonny. Is this really about her being concerned about Sonny, or their relationship, or is Nina feeling jealous about how involved Carly has been and continued to be with his business over the years? Sonny can’t change that now, and Carly is a staple in his life that isn’t going anywhere — or so he thinks.

When Nina makes her case to Sonny about how she doesn’t want any part of him to be off limits to her, he’s still going to see it as her feeling inferior to his ex. To be honest, he doesn’t have time for these kinds of games right now. He needs to focus on the Pikeman deal and whoever just tried to take him out.
