Country music singer, Miranda Lambert, apparently pushed her songs on Taylor Sheridan to have them played in Yellowstone.

Miranda Lambert was interviewed by Fox News Digital on the red carpet at the Grammys and said she would consider a cameo on Yellowstone, but only in one specific role. In fact, the country singer said she would only consider a role if she could play herself. Meanwhile, she also tried to push some of her songs for the show to Taylor Sheridan.

When Miranda Lambert navigated the red carpet at the recent Grammys awards, Fox News Digital asked her what she would be doing if she wasn’t a country musician.  The singer quickly responded that she would work at an animal rescue shelter if she wasn’t a singer. Swiping through Miranda’s Instagram page reveals many cute photos with rescue dogs, including the one above.

As fans of the modern Western hit series Yellowstone know, a country star recently joined the cast. In fact, Lainey Wilson plays the role of Abby, a country singer. Lambert was asked if she would consider a role in Yellowstone. She said she might consider it, as long as she can play just one role – herself. In fact, as she isn’t an actor, she said she would only be comfortable playing herself on the show. Miranda, 39, said:

I’ve never been an actress. It’s not my favorite thing. But if I can play myself … that’s a little bit easier on me.

If Miranda did get a role in Yellowstone, this wouldn’t be the first time she has been in front of a camera. In fact, she played a role in a 2012 episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Lambert said that she is a huge fan of the show, saying:

I’ve done one thing, and it was probably the one. I’m not saying I won’t ever do it again.

Fox’s interviewer, Rachel Smith, did point out that Miranda had sort of made a cameo on Yellowstone. The show had shared a photo of a poster of Lambert, taken for her 2009 album cover, Revolution, that can be seen on the back of the cowboy’s bunkhouse door.

Miranda laughed, and said, “My baby posters. I was like 19 in that picture.”

However, Lambert would certainly be in good company should she join Yellowstone. As mentioned above, Lainey Wilson has a recurring role in the show. Meanwhile, Ryan Bingham is a series regular, while Tim McGraw and his wife Faith Hill starred in the Yellowstone prequel 1883.

Moreover, the If I Was a Cowboy singer said she recently spoke to Yellowstone boss Taylor Sheridan, trying to get her songs played on the show. She said she was “at a thing in Texas” where Sheridan got a Texas Medal of Arts, which she also received. Miranda chatted to him about the lifestyle while pushing her songs for the show. Lambert said, “I have some tunes, man, here they are!”

As previously reported, Keanu Reeves is also interested in starring in the modern Western show. He told ET Canada, “I’d love to do a western.”
