GH Spoilers Tuesday, January 17: Challenges, Danger, And Threats

General Hospital - Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates for Tuesday, January 17 tease challenges, danger and threats in Port Charles and abroad! In France, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) issues a challenge; at GH, Esmé Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) is in danger; and at Spring Ridge, Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) issues a threat.

General Hospital Spoilers – Challenge

In France, as Anna and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) continue their search for Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), Anna issues a challenge. She gets in Valentin’s face and tells him to shut up or give up, even though they’ve seemed to have breached the interior of the compound. A young French boy, played by Gabriel Sky verified to Anna and Valentin that Lucy is indeed in there, but they’ve had challenges getting in.

An old friend of Valentin’s, Renee (Maria Tornberg) helps them get inside, but Anna feels a little intimidated. It would seem that perhaps Valentin’s old cohort Renee might be an old girlfriend as well.

GH Spoilers – Danger

Esmé is in a hallway at General Hospital obviously ready to be released when she’s stopped by Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy). She looks afraid, obviously feeling she’s in danger as he warns her he isn’t someone to challenge. However, soon she’ll be relieved when someone swoops in to rescue her. She may not like being possibly in jail, but it’s better than being unsafe on the outside. At least she’ll be protected.

General Hospital Spoilers – Plot Thwarted

It is Esmé’s attorney, Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) who thwarts Victor’s plot and saves Esmé from the Cassadine patriarch. From the clip of the scene, it’s difficult to tell whether they’re still in the hospital or at the PCPD as he tells someone, likely Victor that everybody’s luck runs out! Victor was probably planning to take Esmé away to Cassadine Island or another one of his compounds to give birth and then “neutralize” Esmé.

Esmé doesn’t know that Martin is extended family, being Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) brother and married to her uncle Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom). Her amnesia is obviously real.

GH Spoilers – Michael Corinthos Updates Harrison Chase

Back at the hospital, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) has come to support his friend Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and likely to be tested for bone marrow matching just in case. Chase and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) were once heavily involved, living together and contemplating marriage. Michael tells Chase that the main danger she’s facing right now is herself, hating her newly discovered birth mother Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) so much she may not accept her help. Her hate runs as deep as the bone marrow she so desperately needs to survive, and Michael is dismayed.

General Hospital Spoilers – Disbelief

Sasha Gilmore, (Sofia Mattsson) who has also come to GH is visiting Willow in her room. Sasha is in disbelief at what she’s hearing, as she looks at Willow with an incredulous look on her face. Sasha asks Willow to verify that she’s thinking of refusing the bone marrow transplant just because it’s from Nina.

However, Nina’s test may have not come back yet but all Willow and Nina’s family and friends are being tested as donor matches. Even Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) offered to be tested.

GH Spoilers – There’s Always Hope

At Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) penthouse, he comforts Nina, and tells her where there is life, there is always hope. Willow has not yet lost her battle against leukemia and even if Nina wasn’t to be a match there’s always Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). Nina is also upset that her newfound daughter hates her but at as long as there’s life, there’s always that kind of hope as well. Nina is realizing Willow has inherited her stubbornness, and maybe that’s both good and bad.

General Hospital Spoilers – Threats

At Spring Ridge, Ryan is literally backing Heather Webber (Alley Mills) to the wall, and it’s plain she’s taking his comment as a threat! He tells a frightened Heather “home at last” but it’s plain she feels anything but at home with him. Heather is normally fearless but she’s shaking in her boots at Ryan’s advance.

It looks like there’s a very good reason that Heather ran away from “Richard” when she found out she was carrying his child. There’s also a very good reason she feared enough for Esmé to give her up for adoption, and told Maggie Fitzgerald (uncast) to discourage her from looking for her birth father.
