GH Spoilers: Trina And Spencer Both Lose Their Fathers

General Hospital spoilers hint Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) are already drawing nearer to one another. Their relationship is going to jump ahead to a full-fledged romance soon, and it might be on the heels of them realizing they are two peas in a pod. Trina and Spencer are both about to lose their fathers in pretty dramatic and traumatizing ways.

When Trina finds out her dad isn’t her dad, and that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) is, it’ll leave her running into Spencer’s arms. Likewise, Spencer will soon learn his father doesn’t plan to fight him at all for custody of his own child because he’s apparently fled town and he doesn’t plan to keep in touch.

How might Trina find out that Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) isn’t her biological father? Rumor has it Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) — or someone else — could crack mid-ceremony and blurt out the truth to Curtis in the nick of time. This revelation is going to leave Trina’s world spinning as she struggles to come to terms with what it might mean for her future.

Will Marcus feel any less like her dad? Will Curtis want to step into the role? How will they share it? Does she even want them to? GH Spoilers – Say Nik Cassadine Is Gone

Speaking of Ava, she’s tending to her affairs and trying to clean up the mess she may have left when she killed Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) in cold blood in her living room. That being said, Spencer will remain blissfully unaware of his father’s potential demise, as Ava has told him Nik simply skipped town in advance of their divorce and the custody hearing.

Spencer joked when he scoffed that his dad didn’t even say goodbye, but the reality is that it did hurt him. He’s always holding out hope for a real relationship with Nikolas, and once again, his dad has chosen his own feelings over those of his son.

When Trina and Spencer are both grieving the loss of their fathers in different ways, it may push them both together ever more – especially as Spencer prepares to become a father figure himself. He’s focused on being a better dad than his own ever was to him.

Likewise, Trina could see the opportunity to help Spencer raise this baby as a blessing at a time in her life when she could really use a similar distraction.
