GH Spoilers: Another Hat Tossed In The Ring-Victor Battles For New Cassadine Heir?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and rumors tease there’ll be another hat tossed in the ring to be appointed guardian of newborn Ace Prince-Cassadine (Joey and Jay Clay). Esmé Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) wants to keep her son with her in prison but that may not be a viable option-now Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) battles for the baby.

General Hospital Spoilers – Nikolas Cassadine Missing, Presumed Dead?

It will become more and more apparent that Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) met with foul play after his broken watch was found in the tack closet in the Cassadine stables. Of course, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and the PCPD wouldn’t put it past him to have staged that himself, having faked his death twice before. But if he had been alive somewhere would he have not seen there was trouble at Wyndemere and found out his baby with Esmé was born?

Nikolas was going to be engaged in a custody battle for Ace with his other son, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) until he disappeared. Now, Spencer and his grandmother Laura Collins (Genie Francis) want to care for Ace while Esmé is in prison.

GH Spoilers – Victor Cassadine Vies For The Cassadine Heir

With the disappearance of Nikolas, now Victor also vies for the custody of the Cassadine heir. Victor had custody papers drawn up for Nikolas to take custody when the baby was born, but they were left in Spring Ridge unsigned. Heather Webber (Alley Mills) had taken Esmé to go on the run with her and birth father Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) in an escape, which resulted in Ryan’s death. Esmé went into labor and Ace was born in the living room of Wyndemere as Ava Jerome (Maura West) battled with Ryan. Laura and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) helped Esmé birth Ace as paramedics arrived and took over.

General Hospital Spoilers – Victor Cassadine May Try To Bypass The Court

Esmé and her baby will be under twenty-four hour guard if Laura has anything to say about it, not trusting Victor not to bypass the court and whisk the infant away. Victor cannot speak for Nikolas, although Laura could if she gets his power of attorney in absentia, which is what she did when she took guardianship of Spencer. Eventually that turned into having Nikolas declared dead, which for legal reasons she may need to do again, as unpleasant the thought is.

Neither Laura, Spencer nor Esmé wants the baby boy to be raised in a Cassadine compound somewhere on Cassadine Island or far away. Laura and Spencer will fight Victor to the death if they have to in a literal way, to protect baby Ace.
