General Hospital Spoilers: Will Cyrus Renault Become A Redeemed Character?

General Hospital spoilers reveal that a change may be coming for villain Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).

Cyrus is one of the worst bad guys in GH history. His crimes ran rampant through Port Charles until he was finally put away in Pentonville. Now that he has hovered dangerously close to death, he has finally seen the light (literally and figuratively).

He may change his evil ways after the vision of hell and of his half-sister, Laura Collins (Genie Francis).

General Hospital Spoilers – Cyrus Renault Almost Died

If it weren’t for Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), Cyrus Renault would be dead.

He had entered the light, where he found Laura. She became his judge and jury and explained how he made terrible choices in his life. He tried to reason away some of what he did but his sister would not accept that because many of his actions hurt others terribly.

Cyrus admitted to Laura that when he held her hostage, he wanted her to die with him. But he couldn’t go through with it because he wanted to protect her.

Cyrus woke up when Laura asked him if he finally wanted to save himself.

GH Spoilers – Will Cyrus Renault’ Brush With Death Change Him?

Many evil-doers have been redeemed on General Hospital but, for others, it was impossible. Cyrus always seemed to be part of the second group, but that may have changed.

He has been in Pentonville for some time now. He claimed to have found religion and saw the error of his ways but no one really believed that. It seemed to be a ploy to get into Laura’s good graces. It didn’t work.

There was one instance where Cyrus was a good guy. He was a help to his great nephew, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) during his time in Pentonville. He kept Spencer out of trouble and protected him in prison. Laura’s grandson was very appreciative.

There was some good in him after all. Now, after talking with his sister in the afterlife, he will want to make a change for himself, as well as for Laura. He thinks the world of his sister and wants to show her he can do better.

General Hospital Spoilers – Will Port Charles Accept The New Cyrus Renault?

Most residents of Port Charles are happy that Cyrus is in prison and hope he stays there forever. He really was a bad guy. Some will never accept him and with good reason.

Others may give him a chance. Mayor Collins may be one of them. Laura is forgiving, and if she sees a true change in her brother, she may begin to believe in him. Their brother Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight) would not be far behind.

Spencer is someone else who would be on Cyrus’ side. His uncle helped him out so he would return the favor.

Drew Cain already saved the man’s life. Being in Pentonville, he will witness first-hand if Cyrus becomes a better person.
