General Hospital Spoilers: Maurice Benard’s Son Joshua Fractures Back In Climbing Accident

General Hospital spoilers indicate that Joshua Benard, (Adam, GH), son of Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) has learned a hard lesson after falling 15 feet from a rock wall and fracturing his back. Benard suffered a 40% fracture according to his father but it could have been a devastating fall.

General Hospital Spoilers:  – Joshua Benard Falls While Climbing A Rock Wall

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Joshua took to Instagram to post a video with the message, “Broke my back rock climbing wear ur safety #hospital #spiderman” This after a fall while climbing a rock wall with no harness. Of course, this is never advised so unsure exactly why Joshua would do something so dangerous.

According to Maurice, things could have been much worse if that fall had been from a higher elevation or hit differently. Maurice says Joshua is in a great deal of pain which is understandable considering that his back is broken. Hopefully, Joshua will mend quickly without any ill effects from the fall. Thankfully Joshua was not hurt any worse.

GH Spoilers – Inside Climbing Is Not Without Risks

Arguably, inside rock climbing should be much safer than outside. However, no matter where you are climbing are safety measures that need to be followed. Of course, strict recommendations for safety gear are in place in indoor rock climbing areas but the rules may be different for adults. After all, it is harder to enforce rules on people who have over 18 years of age.

Needless to say, Benard did not have his safety gear which is clearly seen in his video. After the fact, Benard is certainly telling people to not repeat the same mistake. Hopefully, others learn from this and don’t try to climb in this manner. Benard was lucky, he could have injured himself and not been able to walk again. Real life is far from being the movies.

GH Spoilers: Joshua Benard Gets Plenty Of Support From Fans And Coworkers

Costars are reaching out to Maurice including Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) and Laura Wright (Carly Spencer). Maurice has been very good at keeping everyone updated on Joshua’s condition. Maurice assured everyone that Joshua is in good hands with his mother and his girlfriend by his side taking care of him.

Of course, Maurice’s co-stars are Joshua’s co-stars are well. Joshua played a young Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) before playing Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) schoolmate who harassed her after the video of her and Cameron Webber (William Lipton) was released. Joshua last played Adam when Josslyn was hiding Dex Heller (Evan Hoffer) in her dorm room.
