General Hospital Spoilers: Is Gladys Corbin Unforgivable?

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) has crossed over to the dark side. Her plot to get her daughter-in-law Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) hooked on drugs may be unforgivable.

The last few years of Sasha’s life have been pretty miserable. She lost her newborn baby Liam, then had a breakdown on live television. Not long after, her beloved husband Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) was murdered by the Hook Killer. Sasha also struggled with drug addiction.

Her mother-in-law is now setting her up for another huge fall. This time Gladys may never be forgiven.

General Hospital Spoilers – Gladys Corbin Was A Redeemed Character

Gladys was not very well-liked when she first came to Port Charles. She lied to her cousin Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) when she said her son was killed in Iraq. Brando was very much alive.

She followed that up with helping Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and Peter August (Wes Ramsey) frame Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) for Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) murder.

After many more major (and minor) mistakes, Gladys softened when Brando and Sasha lost baby Liam, and was heartbroken when her son was killed. She really stepped it up for Sasha by defending her from the reporter who was trying to ruin her.

When Sasha needed a guardian, her mother-in-law came to her rescue and volunteered. The two became super close and helped each other through a very difficult time. Gladys turned into one of the good guys.

GH Spoilers – Gladys Corbin Is In Hot Water On General Hospital

It turns out that Gladys has a gambling problem. It must run in the family because her cousin Mike Corbin (Max Gail) suffered from the same addiction.

What made Gladys’ problem more destructive was that she became involved in mobster Selina Wu’s (Lydia Look) poker game at The Savoy. Her poker skills must be pretty poor because she now owes Selina a boatload of money that she doesn’t have.

But her daughter-in-law does have it and Gladys is in control of her money. She has been taking funds from Sasha little by little to pay the mob boss. This money train is coming to an end because Sasha is petitioning the court to take back control of her life. And her money.

General Hospital Spoilers – Gladys Corbin  Came Up With An Unforgivable Solution To Her Problem

The smart solution would be for Gladys to go to her cousin Sonny for help. He would have been absolutely furious with her for getting herself into this mess, but she is family and he would help her. She could also be honest with Sasha, who would have a similar reaction.

Instead, she decided to work with a very creepy psychiatrist to get her daughter-in-law hooked on drugs once again. In no world is this ok.

Hopefully, we will not see another Sasha drug addict storyline. The poor woman has been through enough. But whether or not Brando’s widow takes the bait, what Gladys is doing is unforgivable. She is harming Sasha to help herself.

It is only a matter of time until everyone sees what is really going on. Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) is already suspicious of her. Once the truth comes out, Gladys Corbin may need to leave Port Charles for good.
