When Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) starts feeling abdominal pains at the DiMera mansion, she is so scared that she has Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) rush her to the hospital. Something must be terribly wrong. Imagine her shock when some tests are run and she learns she is pregnant.

Nicole thought she would never have the opportunity to carry and child again and doesn’t even know if she can carry this one to term. That is why Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) became a surrogate for her and Daniel Jonas (Shawn Christian) and is the one who gave birth to Holly.

Not only is Nicole pregnant, but she also doesn’t know who the father of her child is. She has been having regular and frequent sex with EJ DiMera (Daniel Feuerriegel), but she also had that one biscuit-induced morning in bed with Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) a few weeks back. Either one of them can be a contender and that is going to be a problem.

Meanwhile, now that EJ knows what Nicole did when she was high on Sweet Bits breakfast biscuits, he confronts Eric and the two men come to blows. This is not the stress that a newly-pregnant Nicole needs.
