90 Day Fiancé Teaser: David Says Sheila Is ‘Better Than Any’ Woman He Ever Dated

American native David is the first deaf man to feature on 90 Day Fiancé and is thrilled to have met Filipina beauty, Sheila.

In a preview for Sunday’s episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, David is talking about his long-distance love, Sheila who lives in the Philippines. He tells the cameras that hearing-impaired Sheila is “better than any” woman he has dated in the past. Meet 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days stars David and Sheila

90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star David met Sheila online two years ago and they have until now communicated mostly via text. He is deaf, and she is hearing-impaired and is currently learning American Sign Language. The first deaf TLC reality star feels he has finally met the woman of his dreams and is going on the show to meet her for the first time.

American David met Filipina Sheila two years ago in a Facebook group for deaf singles. Meanwhile, in a teaser for Sunday’s episode, David, 42, explains what he was looking for in a woman in a confessional. In the clip, he says in American Sign Language, “I’ve lived in Omaha on my own for a long time now. I want to start a family and have a wife,” he said, adding:

I was open to dating a hearing, deaf or hard of hearing person. I was putting myself out there consistently and getting a lot of ‘no’s.’ It hurt my feelings because I wanted to be in a relationship.

Sheila got David’s heart beating

The American TLC reality star believes that their social media connection was fate. David says he has a girlfriend whose name is Sheila and she is beautiful, adding, “She’s 31 and lives in Cebu in the Philippines and when he first saw her picture, it got his “heart beating.”

According to David, Sheila was born hearing, but after having “problems with her ears” she started using hearing aids. Currently, as Sheila is still learning American Sign Language, they communicate mostly via text. Meanwhile, David cannot read lips or speak. He explained to the camera:

Sheila is better than any other woman I’ve dated because Sheila is a sweet person. She is the perfect match to me. I’ll love Sheila forever.

Moreover, meeting Sheila does take him one step closer to having the family he has always dreamed about, as she has a 12-year-old son. David said, “I will have a new family with Sheila in the future.”

While the pretty Filipina is David’s biggest love so far, he is not his first as he experienced a brutal heartbreak six years ago.

“Six years ago I fell in love with a deaf woman,” he said, adding, “I felt so much better not being alone. But we broke up because she cheated on me. It broke my heart.”

Meanwhile, now he has met Sheila she can see the silver lining of that failed relationship, saying, “I’m happy because I never gave up.”
