90 Day Fiancé Alum Hamza Moknii Opens Up After Divorce From Memphis Smith

Two months after the divorce of 90 Day Fiancé stars Hamza and Memphis, Hamza breaks his silence.

90 Day Fiancé fans will recall the sad story of Memphis Smith and her Tunisian husband, Hamza Moknii. Now, two months after Hamza’s divorce from Memphis was finalized, he has made his first reference to their split.

Hamza and Memphis starred in 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5 and during the Tell-All, they seemed to be the strongest of all the couples. Fans only got to hear about their split when Smith, 35, shared an image of herself with a breast pump, ready to feed the couple’s baby, Kiori Love Moknii back in March 2022.  She captioned the post, writing:

Breast-feeding/breast pumping mamas!! It doesn’t STOP because we work, it doesn’t STOP so we can sleep and it definitely doesn’t STOP so we can play! single mom life.

Memphis Smith and Hamza Moknii split

The news was finally revealed by In Touch a couple of months ago that their divorce went through on October 28, 2022. Since that time, Hamza, 26, has been reasonably quiet on social media, until now. The former 90 Day Fiancé star shared an image taken on a night out to his Instagram Stories on Tuesday, April 25.

On the post, the Tunisian hunk made a discreet reference, captioning the image, “Sometimes distanse [sic] is respect,” Hamza, 26, shared via his Instagram Stories alongside a photo taken on a night out on Tuesday, April 25.

Since the news hit of their divorce, Memphis and Hamza have been involved in a custody battle for their daughter, Kiori. In fact, Hamza made a first reference to this in June 2022, when he revealed he was spending his first Father’s Day alone.

In his Instagram Story, he also said “I don’t know when I will see her. Every day I miss her. Today should be special but all I can do is patiently wait to see her again.”

Meanwhile, these days, Hamza is living in Chicago and has to travel back and forth for the custody hearings. Fans first heard the news from his sister, Rawia Moknii. In fact, Rawia wrote in her Instagram Story on August 15, 2022, “I want to know something, is it normal in America when someone ignored a judge’s ruling because in Tunisia this exposes us to penalties [sic].”  Meanwhile, Rawia added:

My brother suffers a lot and did not give up on seeing his daughter. Although the judge allowed him to visit, she prevent him and does not send us a picture or video of her.

Hopefully, something good will come from the custody hearings and Hamza will be allowed more visits to his little girl.
