90 Day Fiance alum Geoffrey Paschel appealed his sentence of 18 years after being convicted of aggravated kidnapping, domestic assault, and interference with emergency calls. The charges came from an old girlfriend named Kristen Wilson. Immediately, his legal team announced an appeal would be filed. Now, his girlfriend, Varya Malina revealed that it has been turned down. Previously there were delays, but it might mean the end of any hope that he might get out of prison early.

Geoffrey always claimed that he was innocent and that he was set up. In fact, if he had pleaded guilty, he might even be out of detention by now. However, he wanted to clear his name. Much like Todd Chrisley, he learned that lengthy trials often make for longer sentencing times. TLC fans became very divided about whether he was in fact, innocent or guilty. However, their opinions don’t count. Only the courts can decide that.

For a long time now, Varya, who fans met on 90 Day Fiance, stuck with her man. Both of them hoped for a successful appeal. Of course, TLC fans thought she lost her mind. After all, she won’t have her lover for years. However, she tries to remain positive. These days, she takes other people on travel trips when she’s not looking after Geoffrey’s business. Additionally, she looks after the dogs and also helps to watch over the kids. However, she just dropped some devastating news about the appeal.

Varya just got back from a trip to Oregon. Taking to her Instagram Stories on October 4, she said that Geoffrey told her to go on the trip. However, before she showed some slides of her trip, she spoke into her phone and she was crying. In her message, she said that they had heard from Geoffry’s lawyer and it was really bad news. Apparently, the attorney who represents Geoffrey Paschel didn’t go into any detail. However, what they do know, is that his “appeal was turned down.”

From the tone of her message, it seems that she might have reached the end of the road with the appeal. Of course, appeals can go on, but legal representation is very expensive. Already, Geoffrey’s mom struggled to fundraise. In fact, a lot of 90 Day Fiance fans slammed Varya Malina for even sharing about the fundraiser. Still, plenty of people now give her grudging respect because she stuck with Geoffrey for so long.

In her post, it’s not surprising to see that Varya said, “I was ruined, stressed, miserable, hopeless.” Then she added, “Nothing made sense.”
