1000-Lb Sisters spoilers reveal that after watching the last episode of the show, fans were shocked to see how Darlene, Tammy Slaton’s mom acted when she found out that Tammy was having weight loss surgery. Amy Halterman went to see her to tell her the good news about her daughter and although she appeared excited, she wasn’t THAT excited.

Amy volunteered to bring Darlene to the hospital with her so that she could see Tammy before and after her surgery. Of course, with Tammy’s weight and health, there were a lot of reasons that there could have been complications. The family wanted to make sure that Tammy knew that she had their support. They were also pretty worried that she would have complications and die during the surgery. Luckily, the surgery went very well!

When Darlene talked to Amy about going to see Tammy in the hospital, Darlene told her that she was proud of her and couldn’t believe that she had made it this far. She just asked that Amy call her when the surgery is over and that she didn’t want to go to the hospital with them. “I can’t go. I can’t leave my babies.” These babies are her dogs. Amy told her that she would call her friends over to feed them and let them out and it would not be a problem. Darlene refused to leave them though.

Darlene made one excuse after the other, including telling Amy that the trip would be too long and that she didn’t think her legs could handle it. Twitter lit up while this scene was on and viewers were angered by Darlene’s actions. One wrote, “That momma is ugly inside and out.” Another added, “Tammy’s mom cares more about the dogs than Tammy. Now we understand how Tammy got that big.” One more added, “So… your dogs are more important than being there for your child after her surgery? This mom is straight TRASH.” A final fan wrote, “Tammy’s mom not wanting to support Tammy’s surgery is insanity to me. I have fur children also. But Amy offered to have someone stay over and babysit. This is madness.”

After hearing more about Darlene and basically how she abandoned her daughters when they were young, there is really no big surprise that she acts this way toward Tammy.
