When Phyllis was hired, she was given a stern warning by Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier). Summer and Kyle know all too well of the war between Phyllis and Diane. While Diane is playing it cool, Phyllis is exploding every two minutes.

Phyllis knows that she will be watched carefully at Marchetti. Summer also told her mother that Marchetti was a place of business and personal issues have no place there. So, Phyllis knows she has to play her cards carefully when putting her scheme into action.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) likes Phyllis’ idea. However, Nikki pushed Phyllis to hurry up and sabotage Diane’s job. Phyllis tried to explain that she had just completed her first day and these things take time. For one thing, Phyllis knows she is being watched.

Plus, Phyllis wants to be sure that Diane takes the fall and it doesn’t come back on her. If the latter happens, then Diane will just get to play the victim again.

Y&R Spoilers – Diane Jenkins Exposed?

When Diane first came to Genoa City, Kyle opened up to Mariah. Kyle was conflicted but Mariah was one person who wasn’t thrilled about the situation. Mariah was concerned that Kyle would just get hurt all over again.

Plus, it was recently mentioned that Mariah is handling PR as well as marketing. So, Diane will be reporting to her. Mariah might not intentionally fall into Phyllis’ scheme. However, Phyllis could manipulate the situation so Mariah becomes a participant without even realizing it.

If anyone else were to bring Diane’s sabotage to Kyle’s attention, he might give his mother the benefit of the doubt. However, Kyle trusts Mariah. Plus, Mariah probably won’t think that this is all Phyllis’ doing. So, when Diane is accused of sabotaging Marchetti, what will Kyle do?
