Why 90 Day Fiancé Star Mahogany Roca Speaks Fluent English

Due to her fluent English, some 90 Day Fiancé fans believed Mahogany Roca was American and not Peruvian, but she has opened up on the subject.

Fans had many doubts about 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star Mahogany Roca, believing her to be American due to her excellent English. However, the Peruvian beauty has now opened up to fans to explain why she can speak the language so well.

When fans of the TLC reality show first encountered Ben Rathbun and Mahogany Roca, they believed the Peruvian was catfishing him. Meanwhile, Ben admits when they first met online that he had never seen Mahogany on video. He had only seen her on social media photos with heavy filters. Ben is 30 years older than the Peruvian beauty and despite the fact that she told him not to, he traveled to Peru to meet her.

Rathbun had been catfished before by a Nigerian man in the past, so the possibility of Mahogany doing the same was definitely there. Meanwhile, she lied about her age, telling Ben she was 24, when she was really 22. That may only be a couple of years, but Ben is already 30 years older than the Peruvian beauty. She had even taken a $1,000 loan from Rathbun while giving him a fake address.

At first, fans definitely believed Ben had been well and truly catfished, but they did eventually meet. Ben used a translator when talking to Mahogany while claiming she knew little English. However, fans could already see that the TLC reality star was pretty much fluent in English and didn’t really seem to have a Peruvian accent.

When it came to the about 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Tell-All, fans were disappointed as no indication was given as to whether Ben and Mahogany were still together.

90 Day Fiancé Spoilers – Mahogany Rocca Opens Up About Her English

Finally Mahogany told her fans why she can speak English so well. Her Instagram Story reveals a photo of Roca, complete with the caption, “Hello! I have a lot I want to tell!”

“I know I didn’t open much before for the #90dayfiance. But I have much to say and tell you. Starting with my #english, I never rated him the best. But I used to be 3 years old and sing music in #english. That’s where my passion for him began. But I feel proud that my Spanish is part of me,” Mahogany added.

While Mahogany may have cleared up the issue relating to her handling of English, there are many unresolved things in her storyline, not resolved in the Tell-All. Why did she show Ben an Airbnb rental, pretending it was her own house? Why does she use so many filters on her images? Are she and Ben still together? We may never know the answers to those questions. However, as Mahogany has opened up on her handling of English, maybe she will gradually tell fans more.
