GH Spoilers: Nik And Liz Frantic, Esmé’s Escaped!

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease in this week’s Sneak Peek that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) is frantic. When Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) finds out what happened, she’s just as frantic – could Esmé Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) have survived?

General Hospital Spoilers – Esmé Prince Took A Big Risk

Esmé took a big risk when she staged a diversion by setting her Christmas tree on fire, and she ran out of the room as Nikolas was putting it out. She could have easily suffered smoke inhalation, putting her unborn child at risk, and then found she could get no further than the turret on the outside of the north tower. Nikolas followed her out there, where she climbed up on the parapet, determined to escape, and he tried to stop her.

Esmé then bragged that she survived the plunge from the parapet before, and she knew she could again. The only difference was that when she struggled with Ava Cassadine (Maura West) it was summer, and she wasn’t six months pregnant, and now it’s winter.

GH Spoilers – Elizabeth Baldwin Arrives, And Is Horrified

Elizabeth arrives at Wyndemere to give Esmé her prenatal care to find a frantic Nikolas in a panic; she asks, how can he have no idea where Esmé is? Nikolas frantically explains, because she made her way to the turret, and she jumped off of it into the water-Elizabeth can’t believe what she’s hearing-she asks, “She jumped?” Nikolas verifies that Esmé jumped and went into the water.

Elizabeth wants to make sure she heard Nikolas correctly – she asks him, Esmé just did this to herself; she just dove off the turret? Nikolas confirms that she did indeed dive off the turret into the water and that he didn’t push her, she did this on her own. Elizabeth still can’t believe what she is hearing although she’s doing her best to believe he didn’t push her off.

General Hospital Spoilers – How Could She Survive This?

Elizabeth is still upset at what Nikolas is telling her about her six month pregnant charge, and he describes her jump. Nikolas says she spread her arms out and did a swan dive, pitching herself off the turret backwards into the water below. Nikolas says he went to the shore and searched but could find no sign, not knowing if she drowned, is hiding on the island, or made it to the mainland.

Elizabeth is sarcastic as she tells him yeah, that’s possible – she wasn’t in her third trimester and it’s January, and the harbor is freezing. Elizabeth doesn’t see how she could possibly have survived this.
