GH Spoilers: Brando Has Big Mobster Shoes To Fill

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease that Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) will have some big mobster shoes to fill if he does become Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) enforcer in future episodes of GH!

General Hospital Spoilers – Brando Corbin Got His Skills In The Military

Like Drew Cain, (Cameron Mathison) Brando got his fighting skills in the military, although he certainly wasn’t a Navy Seal like Drew! Brando did however spend some time in the US Army before he had a rough patch in life that put him in prison for a while. He only did five years of a twenty year prison term, likely related to drugs, although he learned his lesson not to mess with them.

Brando did work for Sonny as a double agent of sorts back when Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was in power and trying to take over the territory. He only drove for Cyrus, he wasn’t an important part of his organization – but he did save Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson) life when she overdosed and now she’s his wife.

GH Spoilers – Sasha Gilmore Corbin Doesn’t Want Her Husband In Mob Work

Sasha doesn’t want Brando to do anything mob related for work – although as a family member to Sonny, he’s there when he needs him. That became quite evident in a recent GH episode, when two thugs tried robbing Charlie’s Pub and Brando went back in and helped Sonny take them down! Sasha was frightened but not nearly as much as Nina Reeves, (Cynthia Watros) who was also there inside the pub while Sasha waited outside! Sonny and Nina were lucky that Brando was nearby and was able to help – and he proved himself as capable the late Jason Morgan (Steve Burton)! But helping out in a time of need is one thing, while becoming Sonny’s full time enforcer would be quite something different!

General Hospital Spoilers – Brando Corbin Uses His Mob Ties When He Needs To

Another time that Brando’s mob ties and known relation to Sonny helped him and Sasha was when Grant Smoltz (David Lautman) poked his nose where it wasn’t wanted recently! Brando and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) were in front of the elevator at GH, where they were talking about the wreck Sasha was involved in that injured Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel). An “associate” of Smoltz’s, paparazzi photographer Felty (Brian Norris) had been harassing Sasha and she and Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) had been trying to outrun him in her car!

Smoltz had heard about it from Felty, of course and wanted some inside information for his hot new story “The Face of Collision”! Brando put on his most threatening godfather hat and gave Smoltz an offer he couldn’t refuse – and Smoltz ran off like a scared little girl!

GH Spoilers – Brando Corbin Has Some Of Jason Morgan’s Soft Skills Too

It turns out Brando has some of Jason’s soft skills too, having a way of getting through to Sonny like Jason could when no one else was able to! For Carly Corinthos, (Laura Wright) it looks like Drew’s taken over that role for her, but for Sonny, it seems to be Brando. Like Drew, Brando doesn’t want to become Sonny’s new enforcer full time, but if no one else can help and he’s needed, he’s there! Even Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) doesn’t seem to be able to communicate with his father on a level like Jason could, and now Brando seems to be able to. If a new turf war starts up, however, Brando may be drafted to active duty as Sonny’s enforcer whether he wants to be or not!
