DOOL Spoilers: Lucas’ Flashbacks, Tried to Save Abigail from Killer?

Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of July 18 reveal that Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) starts to remember what happened the night of Abigail DiMera’s (formerly played by Marci Miller) murder. Lucas is a red herring and needs redemption for Sami Brady’s (Alison Sweeney) kidnapping. Could Lucas have witnessed Abigail’s murder and tried to save her?

Abigail DiMera’s Murder

DOOL spoilers reveal that Salem is still reeling over Abigail’s murder. Right now, Lucas is under fire as Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) exposed his kidnapping secret and accused him of murder.

Of course, fans know that Lucas would never hurt Abigail. Even though Lucas can’t remember the night of the murder because of his alcohol-fueled blackout, there will be an unexpected turn in events.

During the week of July 18, Lucas will begin to have some memories of the night he got drunk. Unfortunately, the memories probably won’t explain what exactly happened. They could be enough to make Lucas want to investigate further and recall everything that happened the night Abigail died, though.

It is teased that Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will step in and help Lucas. Despite Marlena’s rage over Lucas kidnapping Sami so he could play hero, the psychiatrist knows that everyone needs answers. So, she could agree to hypnotize Lucas in the hopes that they can connect the dots.

Lucas Horton Witnessed Crime?

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that fans are convinced that Lucas is a red herring. Since this is supposed to be a murder mystery, Lucas appearing guilty right away indicates he’s innocent.

Not only could Lucas be innocent but what if he witnessed the crime? Perhaps it wasn’t the alcohol that caused Lucas’ blackout but being knocked unconscious or even the trauma of seeing the killing happen.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Failed Rescue Attempt?

Lucas needs redemption for all the secrets and lies related to Sami’s kidnapping. Lucas also needs to be redeemed for framing EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and letting him go to prison. So, Lucas might not just be innocent but could have tried to save Abigail from being murdered. That would also explain the injury on Lucas’ hand, which he hasn’t been able to explain.

Now, if this turns out to be accurate, then who really murdered Abigail? There is reason to believe that it might have been Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk). Kristen suddenly showed up in disguise at the police station to see Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers). Who knows how long Kristen has been lurking around in Salem before then?

Plus, Abigail saved Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and exposed more of Kristen’s crimes. So, Kristen would have a reason to go after Abigail. However, will Kristen actually have to pay for her crimes this time?
