B&B Spoilers: Thomas Has No Life And That Needs To Change

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Thomas Has No Life And That Needs To ChangeThe Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) is known for keeping characters on the back burner for obscene amounts of time as it’s a 30-minute show and does not have as much time to tell stories as the three hour-long soaps. Still, soaps were originally 15 minutes long on radio and didn’t let core characters languish with nothing to do as long as B&B has kept Thomas without any real story.

The Bold and the Beautiful Is Wasting Thomas

Unlike Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and Katie Logan (Heather Tom), who make occasional appearances yet have no storyline, we see Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) a lot. He is always there as a talk-to for just about anyone in his family and still knows how to keep a secret. After all, he kept Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) secret about how she managed to get Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) drunk on New Year’s Eve because all he wanted to do was see his parents together again.

And that is what Thomas still wants as he gave his mother, Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen), a pep talk last week on why she and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) will always belong together. But what else does Thomas want? Does he want a woman in his life? Does he want his son full-time? We don’t know because the soap is no longer writing for Thomas.

Where Is Thomas’ Edge?

The Bold and the Beautiful worked so long to turn Thomas into a manipulative bad boy who was so obsessed with Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) that he took a mannequin home that looked like her so he could date said mannequin. Then, it was all explained away with a brain injury defense and Thomas has been pretty boring ever since.

He had a small crush on Paris Buckingham (Diamond White), but really, at this point, who hasn’t? And who hasn’t Paris had a crush on herself? The soap could move back in that direction to give Thomas something to do now that her disastrous “romance” with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor)is over, but she seems to be heading back Zende Forrester’s (Delon De Metz) way instead.

There are so many ways B&B could go with Thomas that it makes no sense that he’s been languishing without a story for so darn long. Hopefully, Thomas’ time in the storyline rotation comes up soon and it involves someone new in his life and not the same old, same old. Stay tuned to The Bold and the Beautiful weekdays to see Thomas get a life…we hope.
