B&B Spoilers: Bill Can’t Save Sheila – Finnegans Temporarily Blackmailed

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) new outlook is demented. So much so that he believes blackmailing Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) to protect his new, supposed relationship with Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) is okay.

Bill meant it when he told Steffy and John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) that he is not seeking revenge. He will not report Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) to the authorities as long as Sheila is not turned in.

This stunning reveal means that Bill made contact with Sheila and decided not to turn her in to the authorities but conspire with her. He only did so after a few-year period where Steffy, Katie, and Brooke abandoned him, or at least he feels they did.

TPTB often fast-forward the plot because this is a half-hour show and as part of the working philosophy of storytelling. So, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) instantly determined that his father and Sheila were linked.

Liam and Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) did not immediately know that Bill was working with Sheila. Clifton’s character found Sheila’s blonde wig. It was the most recent one she was wearing, rather than the red one.

It just so happened that Steffy forwarded Liam a photo of Sheila wearing the blonde wig, and Wyatt’s hurl of Sheila’s earring was missed by his brother. That caused Liam to look under the sofa and find the hairy disguise.

B&B Spoilers – Bill Spencer Falsely Believes He Is Irredeemable

Bill suffered a mental break when realizing that Brooke and Katie were not taking him back. If one of the women offered him hope, he would never have become Sheila’s designated protector.

The Dollar Bill persona sees Sheila as his darkened soul mate. He sees himself as an irredeemable monster.

That outlook intentionally dismisses all hope for the future, with a hard wink toward Hope Spencer’s (Annika Noelle) fashion line that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) was removed from. Bill has bought into a false premise.

Bill believes he has no free will, can not change who he is, and can never make good for wrongs. He rejects the reality of redemption. That is the projection of a narcissistic personality type.

But Bill is being manipulated by this soap opera’s greatest antagonist.

Sheila is exploiting Bill’s mental state, as Steffy aptly pointed out. Wood’s character and her husband are savvy. While shaken by this new drama, they will never allow Sheila to call the shots forever.

So, for example, Steffy and Finn do not have to report Sheila to the authorities, thereby risking Taylor’s arrest. Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) could do it. So, could Deacon, once he inevitably learns Sheila ditched him for Bill, and Thomas can redeem himself if he engineers that villain’s takedown?

Bill would not break his pact with Sheila if someone he does not expect breaks the new hold she has established on B&B.
