90 Day Fiancé: Varya Celebrates Her Mom’s Birthday Amid Russia-Ukraine War

90 Day Fiancé alum Varya Malina recently celebrated her mother’s 60th birthday on her Instagram Story. She shared old memories of her mother and said she wants to bring her from Russia to America. Varya has also recently shared her support for the Ukrainian people in the current war.

At first, Russian TLC alum Varya Malina was relatively quiet after Russian invaded Ukraine. However, fans were shocked when she recently made a tasteless joke with Ukrainian cast member, Natalie Mordovtseva. Her post upset many 90 Day Fiancé fans, who found it was in very poor taste. In the story, she shared an image of the pair, writing, “The Ukraine and Russia relations that work.”

While she does like her posts to always feel light and fun, many fans took exception. At the time, fans compared her post unfavorably to those of Yara Zaya, a Ukrainian fellow 90 Day Fiancé star. While Zara isn’t exactly a fan favorite, she did make thoughtful posts on social media. In fact, she has used her online fame to show emotional support to the people of Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Yara was also interviewed on Fox News where she shared a touching message to those affected by the ongoing war. Fans believe Varya could have done the same.

More recently, Varya Malina again headed to her Instagram Story. She went on to share images for her 60th mother’s birthday, amid the Russia/Ukraine war. One image showed her and her beautiful mother. On the image she wrote the caption, “Today is my mom’s 60th birthday and my heart hurts that I’m not there with her.”

In another image, Varya called her mother “Beautiful and adventurous.” She also shared images and videos from previous trips with her mom. One was captioned, “I strongly believe it wasn’t our last trip in March 2020.”

Varya also promised her mother that she will organize “Many, many more adventures” in the future. Meanwhile, she also wrote, “I’m sure as **** I’ll show you how beautiful America is.”

It seems the former 90 Day Fiancé star, who moved to the US to be with Geoffrey Paschel, now wants to bring her mother over from Russia. However, even if Varya has a green card, it won’t be that easy, especially during the current situation.

Meanwhile, Varya is also taking steps to help Ukraine with her Cameo account. Currently, she records personalized messages for her fans. However, recently she shared that all her earnings from Cameo will be donated to support the Ukrainian people.

Hopefully, her recent actions will make up for her tasteless Instagram Story with Natalie.
