90 Day Fiancé Star Sumit Totally Shocks Jenny After His Parents Disown Him

In a teaser for Sunday’s episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Sumit completely blindsides Jenny. After his parents once again disowned him over his marriage to an older woman, he has changed his mind about one important aspect of their relationship.

Early in their 10-year relationship, Jenny, 63, and Sumit, 33, agreed that they wouldn’t have kids. However, it seems he has had a change of heart. After his parents disowned him he announced that he might want children in two years. At 63, Jenny already has grown children and certainly doesn’t want new kids in her home.

In a teaser for Sunday’s episode, Sumit starts by explaining to Jenny one of the reasons he doesn’t want to move to the US with her. He says, “I will be 35 by [sic] two years and maybe I’ll start thinking about having kids. We might adopt someone by 35. Then, I want to have them in India.”

The clip then cuts to a confused Jenny, telling the cameras, “What the f***?”

Jenny continues, saying:

First of all, we’ve talked about this since we met over 10 years ago that this can’t happen. It’s been understood this whole entire time. So how come all of a sudden now when he wants to have a kid when it was never – I mean, I’m shocked.

Meanwhile, speaking to Sumit, she asks if why he married her if he wants to have children. Moreover, Jenny’s adult daughter, Christina, who is present at the time, spoke to Sumit, saying, “If you had that even in the back of your mind, you shouldn’t have married somebody who is done raising children.”

Why has Sumit changed his mind?

After Christina’s apt statement, Sumit goes on to explain how his problems with his family have changed his way of thinking. He says:

When I think about family, and my parents, and how to just make them happy, how to win their love back and everything – they said, like, ‘You cannot have kids.’ Because if I have a kid, then, might be they will be happy. ‘Okay, now you have somebody to take care of you.’

Meanwhile, Sumit explained that if he has a child, he wants his family to be with that child.

Yet another roadblock in Jenny and Sumit’s relationship

As if they haven’t had so many problems over the 10 years of their relationship, Sumit bringing up children is yet another major problem. As it was, they married secretly, without telling his family. Meanwhile, when they did finally tell them, Sumit was completely disowned by his family.

In the teaser, there is also a conversation with Sumit’s father. He had already reminded Sumit that there is no place for him in the family as long as he is with Jenny. In fact, he pushed Sumit to get a divorce. Moreover, he reminded his son that his mother, who has already cut off contact with him, has been ill from the emotional turmoil of Jenny and Sumit’s hidden marriage.

Meanwhile, everyone on both sides of the family has approved his move to the US. However, Sumit won’t change his mind about wanting to stay at home in India. As for Jenny, she clearly sees how Sumit’s parents affect his decisions. She says, “Once again, Sumit will do anything to make his parents happy. It doesn’t seem like anything has changed. Family is gonna [sic] be priority – basically always – over me.”
