Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) and Kush Kazemi (Davood) are set to have a passionate kiss on the upcoming episode of “EastEnders’’ as its trailer showed.

Every show productions’ team has been challenged to be innovative and creative in filming close scenes due to health protocols since the pandemic started. Kissing scenes and the likes have been made possible with camera tricks, mirrors, and CGIs.

But the stars Davood and Shona, portraying Kush Kazemi and Whitney Dean, really did kiss on the set, Digital Spy confirmed.

As the storyline between the couple rises up, different emotions are all over the place. Kush is planning to surprise Whitney (Shona) with a wedding, but he is distressed upon realizing he is bound to face prison for a long time.

But fans anticipated things with Kush will be settling soon. They were informed of the character’s departure last 2020.

The Mirror had reported about David’s exit last year, saying the “EastEnders” bosses did not renew the actor’s contract in favor of a dramatic exit. The source said: “He’ll be missed but they’re making sure he goes out with a bang. Sometimes the cost of having a big storyline means losing big characters.”

EastEnders: Davood Ghadami

Davood had officially bid goodbye to the cast as he filmed his last scene. He has also spoken about his emotional exit last March 8. The actor shared on his Instagram account a picture of him and James Bye.

“Not going to lie today was bittersweet. I had to say goodbye to some of THE best people I could ever wish to know. Not being able to do the usual hugs was tough, though probably for the best, as I might not have let go. I’m a very lucky lad. Thanks to the ones who made the 6 and a half years so special. You know who you are. The pic might even hint subtly at who one of them is… thanks for the ride,” Davood said.
