TLC – 90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers – When The Absence Is Felt

The couple Angela, 54, and Michael, 32, got married on January 27 last year in Lagos, Nigeria, since Michael’s visa hasn’t been approved. The couple plans to live together in America, but in the meantime, Angela is staying in her residence in the United States while Michael is left in Nigeria to process his documents.

But over a year of being continents apart has definitely tripled the struggles of the couple. Distance has caused more fighting between the two. One major issue was Michael’s disapproval of her wife’s weight loss surgery.

Fans will see Angela’s transformation in the show, who has recently lost 100 pounds and feels she has more energy, and is more confident because her health is a lot better now. Although she’s not allowed to tease more for the season, Angela admitted she was in this alone.

When being asked why her husband was so against it, she noted distance as one of the factors. “I don’t know if it was because, him, not being a part of it because he’s over there, you know, at that time or what but we went through it…”

The preview of the new season also showed the two dealing with trust issues as Angela was seen shopping for a phone tracker for him. She considered that option because her husband, who is across the world, does a lot of things that upset her.

“I don’t know if it was to aggravate me or not, but he wouldn’t answer his phone, he’ll make me think he was doing something, so I decided to get a tracker on his phone. I said he’s doing something and whether it’s not bad or not, it’s still upsetting me.”

Angela teased fans will have to see the outcome of their wedding after a year. That “hell” journey made her confront her husband saying: “Somehow you changed since we got married and we’re not even living together, yet. Don’t take that for granted because there’s always a damn divorce court around the corner.”

Now that Angela has honestly spoken of their status, a happily ever after for the couple seems thrilling as she revealed she has contemplated divorce and even talked to a lawyer about it.

“I’m not gonna put up with this. If I put up with this with him all the way over there, what’s it gonna be like here?” she explained.

But despite the conflicts, Angela said they are both hoping and praying that Michael can finally come and live with her. She claimed that deep in her heart she knows they love each other and they still have a lot of stuff to work out, which they can’t do in a long-distance setting.
