The Young And The Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Chelsea’s Death Scare – Adam Blames Billy

The Young And The Restless: Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) stroke has been telegraphed in recent weeks. Her fainting spells and visits to the doctor are followed by this death scare.

Seemingly always wanting to point fingers in times of crisis, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) blames Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) for Chelsea’s condition. That utterly ridiculous attack underscores Adam’s ongoing unbalanced state of mind.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman Is A Monster

Thompson’s character is the man whose daughter was accidentally killed by Adam. As longtime viewers recall, Adam (as then played by Michael Muhney) didn’t know that his sport utility vehicle struck Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) until after the fact. Upon discovering remnants of her clothing in his wheel wells, Adam didn’t report what happened. His thinking at the time was based upon Connor Newman (eventually played by Judah Mackey) receiving Delia’s corneas.

Because this is soap and due to the fact that no scenes have ever been shown that definitively prove Adam accidentally killed Delia, it’s possible that he didn’t. However, he believes he did and even with that is now blaming Billy for Chelsea’s condition.

Y&R Spoilers – Lily Winters Is A Centering Influence

Billy has the type of personality that causes him to need to lean on stable influences for support. Everyone needs people like that in their lives, but Billy depends on Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and has needed others to keep him going.

Of course, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) was Billy’s longtime go-to person. She is a soul mate. But it appears as though Billy’s bond with Lily, which is actually a revisit of a connection they had during their youth, is deep.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Billy Abbott Must Avoid Being Triggered

People can push the buttons of other people if those other people are allowed to have control. In this case, Billy can not allow Adam to manipulate his emotions as the latest form of blame game.

Billy has come a long way since his personality disintegration happened. His choice to move on from Victoria remains questionable, especially because of the children they have together. But now that he’s with Lily, she, not Adam needs to be the main adult influence in his life. This relationship has been healthy and can remain so as long as Billy doesn’t allow Adam to push him off-course.
