‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Summer and Kyle About To Win – Rivals Theo & Lola Departing Genoa City?

The Young and the Restless: Summer Newman (Hunter King), Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor)The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Summer Newman (Hunter King) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) are about to score major personal and professional victories. Their rivalries with Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) and Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) are about to unexpectedly end, which will change lives and lessen pressure at Jabot.

Readers of this site know that Johnson and Calle’s contract status has changed. The former regular players are leaving the cast. With that comes the departures of Theo and Lola.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers – Skyle’s Sudden Reconciliation Makes Sense Now

The end of Kola, coupled with Skyle’s sudden comeback, felt equally rushed.

Kyle was pressured by Lola to admit that he didn’t love her, but Summer instead? That development seemed to throw the entire Kola arc into question.

Why spend a significant amount of time in writing Kyle and Lola into a love story that many fans seemed to embrace, have them realize marriage, and then stop the flow? Well, a decision by TPTB appears to have necessitated the end of Kola and possibly even Theo’s initial write-in to make that happen.

Y&R Spoilers – Was Theo Vanderway Intended For A Brief Stint?

Theo may have always been intended as the man who would apply pressure to Kyle and target Lola as a method to restart Skyle. It could be that Y&R’s long-range planning was initially geared toward having Theo and Lola exit Genoa City, Wisconsin, this spring.

Having Johnson’s character revealed as Dina Mergeron’s (Marla Adams) grandson would seem to contradict the speculation that was offered in the above paragraph. It is a subjective take, but Johnson is a fine actor who delivered consistent performances. He took the scripts and made Theo both villainous and vulnerable, which isn’t easy to do.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers – Lola Rosales’ Departure Is Lamented

Lola is a completely likable character. She was naturally woven into Kyle’s world, with Kola forming over time. This couple faced issues that other pairings do and eventually overcame them because of their demonstrated love.

Calle is also a fine actor. Lola became the anti-Summer, which provided balance for King’s character, in having a believable rival for Kyle’s heart. Calle and Mealor also exhibited terrific chemistry.

Here’s hoping that Calle and Johnson will at least be recurring players. If not, both people are wished all the best in their lives and careers. Each is offered full kudos for their performances on Y&R.
