‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Phyllis Loses Nick When New Y&R Episodes Return?

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Y&R is set to resume production this week, after being shut down since late April. So, scenes will be recorded, episodes produced, and new shows should then begin to air within approximately one month.

As viewers recall, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) personal life was improving, but her business interests were tanking when she was last seen in Genoa City, Wisconsin. After months of flirting, Phick had just begun announcing its most recent reprisal in the spring.

But Phick’s history indicates that whatever existed then or may persist through the summer, probably won’t last. Both characters actually acknowledged the potential fleeting nature of their relationship as this redux romance was building.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phick Meant Two Things

The end of Shick and Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) birth. That short, previous sentence arguably summarizes the entirety of what Phyllis and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) once were.

As of last summer, Stafford had returned to Y&R. She rejoined the show that led to her fame, after leaving in 2013 and later joining the cast of General Hospital (Nina Reeves), where she had a solid five-year run.

Y&R Spoilers – Red Returns With A Vengeance

The fan’s sense that Y&R was going to rewrite the Phyllis character to fit what Stafford once made her bore out last year. Gina Tognoni’s (Phyllis) stellar reign, where Phyllis became noticeably more vulnerable, was supplanted by Stafford’s fierce Red reversion.

At first, Phyllis was all over Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), in what appeared to be a play for romance. Instead, it was just Phyllis’ attempt to get him to join her in attacking Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), who she still holds fully accountable for the horror that was Marco Annicelli (Peter Bergman in a memorable dual role).

Later, Phyllis seemed to be throwing herself at Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz). But that proved to be her attempt to gain information about what his tie was to Adam. Phyllis’ successful digital acquisition of that intel temporarily gave her needed ammunition to either turn Adam and Chance over to the authorities or for Grossman’s character to be forced into working with her against Victor.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nick Newman Leery Of Deception

Nick threw Phyllis out of his home last year, while Tognoni was still part of the cast. It took him a long time to trust Phyllis after Stafford returned.

But what started with Phyllis’ thoughtful Dark Horse property gifts to Newman Enterprises and continued with blossoming romance into spring could instantly dissolve in August, or by September.

Phyllis still wants to get Victor. While Nick has often sparred with his dad he, like the Moustache, tag Adam as the common enemy. If Phyllis disrupts that effort, Phick will be over just after it restarted.
