Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Didn’t Register Archewell On Instagram

Prince Harry and Meghan MarklePrince Harry and Meghan Markle revealed the name of their new charity called Archewell. The non-for-profit organization will replace the couple’s Sussex Royal, which they had to let go of on March 31. That was also the time they stepped down from their senior royal duties. Archewell will be a big part of the couple’s future. But they already made a mistake when it came to registering the name on Instagram.

It’s no secret that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle use Instagram to promote their charitable endeavors. When they first joined, they quickly gained millions of followers. But they deactivated the account once they broke away from the royal family. Since Instagram plays a huge role in their future, Express reports they didn’t open a new Instagram account under the name Archewell.

Several fans opened accounts with the Archewell handle. The first person to register the name did so at the end of February, just weeks after the couple’s announcement. It even came weeks before sources leaked the name of their charity. However, the user hasn’t posted on the account and it’s unclear if they tend to steal it from the Sussexes. The second account was registered under the name Archewell Global, which is another name that the couple plans on using as well.

Neither Harry nor Meghan have not commented on the Instagram goof, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens. As part of their exit from the royal family, Harry and Meghan eventually agreed to stop using their royal titles. They also abandoned their Sussex Royal brand, which has been their main charitable organization since its launch last year.

The Express report claims that the Sussexes will launch their new organization “when the time is right” and revealed why they choose the name Archewell in the first place. They said that it”… it became the inspiration for our son’s name.” According to the Sussexes, “Archewell is a name that combines an ancient word for strength and action, and another that evokes the deep resources we must draw upon.”

“Like you, our focus is on supporting efforts to tackle the global COVID-19 pandemic but faced with this information coming to light, we felt compelled to share the story of how this came to be,” Prince Harry and Meghan continued. “Before Sussex Royal, came the idea of ‘Arche’ – the Greek word meaning ‘source of action.'”

Harry and Meghan revealed that they hope to “do something that matters” with their new charity. It’s not clear how they will handle the pandemic or what causes they will take on. Royal fans may not hear about it until the pandemic is over.
