Prince Charles Cuts Off Harry And Meghan Markle Following Netflix Deal

Not that long ago, Prince Charles was all bluff and bluster when an insider suggested he “will not be writing his son (Prince Harry) a blank cheque.” Of course, everyone knows that since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped away from their royal duties as senior members of the British Royal Family, Prince Charles continued to fund the Duke and Duchess of Sussex out of his Duchy of Cornwall.

In essence, no matter how many traditions and no matter what kind of lavish spending of which Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were guilty, Prince Charles was committed to acting as their personal ATM. Indeed, Prince Charles provided up to 95 percent of Harry and Meghan Markle’s funds in the time between Megxit and the Netflix deal.

In any case, now that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made a mega-deal with the American media company, Netflix, multiple sources are claiming that Prince Charles has finally come to the belief that the couple can make it on their own. (With a $150 Million paycheck, one sure hopes Prince Harry and Meghan could find it within their means to survive without taxpayer funds coming their way via Prince Charles’s Duchy.)

Netflix Deal Promotes Harry And Meghan’s Independence

It should be remembered that Meghan and Prince Harry’s Netflix deal is thought to allow the couple to finally declare financial independence from the Crown. Without funding from Prince Charles, this seems to have finally become the reality for Harry and Meghan. At nearly forty years old, Prince Harry and Meghan (more Meghan than Harry in terms of age) the couple are no longer financially tied to Buckingham Palace. They’ve cut the purse strings with some believing that Meghan and Prince Harry are now free to pursue whatever interests they wish without someone back in London calling them to account.

According to multiple reports, what Harry and Meghan Markle wish is to make “inspirational” family programming. A statement following the signing of Meghan and Prince Harry’s Netflix deal read, “Our lives, both independent of each other and as a couple, have allowed us to understand the power of the human spirit: of courage, resilience, and the need for connection.

Through our work with diverse communities and their environments, to shining a light on people and causes around the world, our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope.

As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us, as is powerful storytelling through a truthful and relatable lens.”

Meghan And Harry’s Netflix Deal Could Become Nightmare

While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have already begun spending money from their Netflix deal, such as on repayment of their Frogmore Cottage debt, the production deal could prove disastrous. That’s particularly true if Prince Harry and Meghan cannot make good on their end of that deal.

There are more than a few who believe that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are simply not qualified to produce a children’s play let alone the huge, 5-year undertaking they’ve signed on for.

For instance, British commentator Piers Morgan, a frequent critic of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wrote in an op-ed the following, “Pulling off a $150 million Hollywood production deal is an amazing achievement when your combined experience of producing anything in Hollywood could be written on the back of a postage stamp.

Their entire joint CV would read something like: ‘Meghan was a suitcase girl on Deal or No Deal and an actress on Suits, a TV show made in Canada. And Harry’s shown some real thespian promise with his hostage video performances on camera during a lockdown.”
