“Young and the Restless” spoilers for Thursday, February 21, tease that Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) will give Summer Newman (Hunter King) some advice. At the Abbott mansion, Abby argues that Summer needs to steer clear of Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Summer insists they have still had feelings for each other, and she intends to fight for Kyle until he comes around.
At the hospital, Kyle peeks in and notices the Rosales brothers are looking after Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle). He realizes he can’t visit her right now. Meanwhile, Dr. Nate Hastings (Brooks Darnell) informs Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) that Lola could have some liver issues. They’re keeping an eye on the situation, so Arturo and Rey hope for improvements soon.
Kyle tries to go to Lola’s bedside later, but Nate stops him from entering her room. He notes that Kyle needs to get Rey and Arturo’s permission first. After Rey scores Lola’s file from the GCPD, he questions Abby about what she knows. Abby admits Summer’s been doing everything she can to win Kyle back.

At Crimson Lights, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) try to figure out why Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) has been released. They know the others are still in lockup, so they ultimately ponder the mystery with Kyle. He updates them on the fact that he can’t visit Lola because of her brothers.
Summer appears next and faces Mariah’s wrath. When Summer says she doesn’t know why her mom walked free, Mariah suggests Phyllis could’ve been a backstabber and sold everyone else out. She also rants about Summer going after Kyle and being the reason why he can’t go see Lola.
Summer spots Arturo with Abby eventually, so she tries to smooth things over. She thinks Kyle should be able to visit Lola’s hospital room, but Arturo just lashes out at her. Next, Rey interrogates Kyle about his ex. He wonders how far Summer would go to get what she wants. Rey’s starting to suspect Summer was the one who went after Lola that night.
Summer ultimately gets confronted at Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) house. Rey asks questions involving Lola and the predicament she ended up in. It isn’t long until Summer realizes she’s Rey’s prime suspect. Summer shuts down the idea as absurd and assumes Kyle put Rey on the wrong path.
