‘Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, May 6: Adam’s Survival Stuns Sharon, Nick Is Skeptical – Tessa’s Studio Session Frustrates Ana

“Young and the Restless” spoilers for Monday, May 6, tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braden) will drop a bomb on Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). In Las Vegas, Victor reveals that Adam is alive and has no memories from before the explosion. He hasn’t been able to get through to Adam and neither as Dr. Calhoun, so Victor pushes Sharon to pitch in.

Sharon objects to being Victor’s bait, but he appeals to her as a parent who wants to help his child. Later, Sharon fills Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) in and worries about the impact this news will have on Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). In Genoa City, Nick spots Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) in the park and finds out she hired Rey. He thinks it’s a good idea since maybe Rey can get some answers.

At the penthouse, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) checks on Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), but Ana Hamilton (Loren Lott) pesters him about the recording session that’s coming up. At Crimson Lights, Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) fretting over the text on her phone when Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) approaches and senses something’s up. Mariah covers and talks to Tessa about the big day.

Tessa’s set to get in the studio with Ana, so Mariah offers reassurance and a gift as a good luck charm. It’s a guitar strap that’s personalized with one of Tessa’s lyrics, “Ready for the fight.” Tessa’s thankful for the present and having Mariah in her corner. Back at the penthouse, Devon gets the scoop on Elena’s mother from Jett Slade (Gilbert Glenn Brown). Jett explains why Elena doesn’t like to talk about how her mom died.

It turns out Elena’s mother hit her head after a tumble at home. She died while Elena was at work, so that haunts Elena. She feels guilty even though she wasn’t really to blame. Back with Mariah and Tessa, they spot Elena at the coffeehouse. After Tessa leaves for the studio, Mariah chats with Elena about Devon and admits she’s probably a little overprotective.

Elena wants to get to know Devon better and listens as Mariah praises him as a good friend. Once their conversation wraps up, Mariah heads over to the cottage to pick something up. She’s spooked when Nick appears at the door, but she blames it on caffeine. Nick isn’t pleased when he gets updates on Sharon joining Rey for his Vegas mission.

Sharon calls Nick soon after and confesses that Adam’s alive. Nick finds it hard to believe and suggests there may be another explanation. He thinks this could be a scam or a lookalike, but Sharon believes Victor. She admits that Vic wants her to help Adam, so Nick’s concerned about her getting caught up in all this.

Sharon hangs up and turns her attention back to Rey. She’s wary of stirring things up regarding an old relationship when she’s just entering a new one. However, Sharon has to do this and Rey’s got her back. Once Sharon gets Victor on the phone, she confirms that she’ll do whatever she can to assist Adam and bring him back to his family.

In the studio, Tessa tanks the session terribly and leaves Ana frustrated. Despite Tessa’s attempts to get it right, Ana determines that it’s a waste of time and ends it. After Ana grumbles to Devon, he scolds her for not being patient with Tessa and listening to what her artist needed. Devon feels confident Tessa will succeed if they let her warm up properly.

Back at the cottage, Mariah’s still on edge. She’s nervous when she hears someone outside, but it’s just Tessa having a meltdown. After Tessa relays the disastrous results of her studio session, Mariah reassures her. Next, Ana and Tessa meet with Devon, who encourages them to proceed with respect and make this happen. Devon doesn’t want Tessa to feel pressured or worried about the time.

Tessa nails the next take of the song, so Ana apologizes for how things went down before and give her a hug. Devon is also forced to apologize when Elena realizes he’s been asking Jett about her mother. He’s sorry for going too far and won’t let it happen again.

Later, Mariah sees the guy she bumped into earlier. He stares at her in Crimson Lights, so she marches up and asks if there’s a problem. The guy just gets up and exits, which leaves Mariah shaken once again.
