“Young and the Restless” spoilers for Monday, May 20, tease that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will leap into action. At the tack house, Sharon rushes in to find Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) after hearing a gunshot. She calls for help and pushes Adam to hang on.
At the hospital, Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) is amazed to see that Adam really is alive. Sharon hopes it stays that way and frets over Adam’s condition. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) orders his son not to die on him before sending some urgent texts. He tells Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to get back to him ASAP.
Y&R Spoilers: Paul Williams Interrogates Sharon Newman
While Adam undergoes emergency surgery, Victoria gets in touch with Victor and learns her brother was shot. Over with Paul, he interrogates Sharon and acts doubtful about certain aspects of her story. Victor gets Paul to back off just before Nick and Victor walk in. Unfortunately, Nick remains wary of Adam and all his drama. That agitates Victor, who’s clearly distraught over Adam’s predicament.
After Nick pushes Sharon to steer clear of Adam, Dr. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) comes out with good news. Adam’s going to be fine, so a relieved Victor joins him at his bedside. In Phyllis Summers’ (Gina Tognoni) suite, she’s working on her laptop when Summer Abbott (Hunter King) shows up. Summer wonders what she can do to make things up to her mom, but she doesn’t like Phyllis’ idea.
Young and The Restless Spoilers: Phyllis Summers Urges Summer Newman To Ditch Jabot
Phyllis urges Summer to ditch Jabot and come work for her instead. She doesn’t think the Abbotts will ever truly appreciate her daughter, but Summer gripes about this obsessive need for revenge. At Jabot, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) has some complaints of his own. He learns he’s being reassigned to another project and feels like this has Summer written all over it.
Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) arrival shakes things up briefly. He stuns Jack with updates on Adam’s survival. Jack hopes to reunite with Adam soon, but Billy warns that Adam claims to have amnesia. The brothers clash over their different opinions of Adam before Kyle gets his turn again. He’s not happy he’s being demoted because of Summer, but Jack notes that Kyle will have more time with Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle).
Y&R Spoilers: Kyle Abbott Confronts Summer Newman
Kyle corners Summer about their nixed team effort soon after. He confesses it might be a good idea. Kyle believes Summer will find the person she’s meant to be with, but Summer’s more concerned with work right now. She wants to conquer the corporate world first.
At Crimson Lights, Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) and Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez) say goodbye to Genoa City. Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) is aloof initially, but Lola convinces him to lighten up for a proper farewell. After Rey embraces Arturo, Lola hugs her departing brother as well. She warns Mia not to get up to her old tricks and makes them promise to offer plenty of baby info.

May 20 Y&R Spoilers: Arturo Rosales Files For Divorce
Once Lola’s teary and alone, she texts Kyle to come to be with her. Kyle reveals that he’s already there, so he seems to know exactly what Lola needs and when she needs it! As for Rey, he gets the closure he needs and returns to Sharon. After getting the scoop on Adam, Rey mentions that he filed for divorce and is ready to start this new chapter with Sharon.
Back at the coffeehouse, Nick wonders if Billy might’ve pumped a bullet in Adam. Victoria confirms Billy’s alibi since she was with him. Nick notes he was with Christian Newman (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) and they all debate the topic of giving Adam another chance. Victoria seems to be inching toward it, but Billy thinks the trouble’s just beginning.
