Sharon (Sharon Case) finally told Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) what happened on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Detective Rosales finally knows what chess pieces were present the night J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) died, which busts the coverup crew.
Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) recent, surprise admission put her in jail, while not exonerating Victor (Eric Braeden). Rey still believed, prior to Sharon’s reveal, that Victor was guilty. Genoa City’s leading lawman, due to Paul’s (Doug Davidson) still unexplained absence within the department, thought that Nikki was involved in J.T.’s demise, but was covering for her husband.
Y&R’s slow roll toward the conclusion of this drama, that officially began on April 13, 2018, as has been referenced on a number of occasions in recent weeks, appears to be a breakthrough. Though hopeful fans remain cautious due to the seeming never-ending additions to this tangled plot.

Rey will now need to interrogate Vickie (Amelia Heinle) and her mother again. Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) will also be hauled in, which should prove both intriguing and entertaining. Christine’s (Lauralee Bell) laser focus on this particular suspect should also play into the proceedings, as the unresolved issue of ‘Pristine’ being run down by Phyllis (as then played by Michelle Stafford) remains tied to ‘Cricket’s’ desire to apply justice to Tognoni’s edition of ‘Red’.

It’s reasonable to believe that some weeks will be needed for this latest part of the extended arc to unfold, as the legal freight the ‘Fearsome Foursome’ will endure must be hashed out. The build-up to what must be a coming conclusion is happening.
Whether one person, or more, framed Victor, tormented Nikki and established surveillance at the Newman Ranch is still unknown. Rey must address those issues at some point also. He’s unaware of the targeting the Newman’s have been facing, which makes it possible that the detective will eventually come to defend them.
Y&R’s epic storyline has been stretched beyond what many viewers had expected. Whether they are shown its conclusion during the cold Wisconsin winter, or by spring’s thaw remains unknown.
