“Young and the Restless” star Victoria Rowell has booked a role in Lifetime’s retelling of Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice.”
“Pride & Prejudice: Atlanta” is a movie that follows the Bennet family, headed by Reverend Bennet, to be portrayed by Reginals VelJohnson and his wife Mrs. Bennet to be played by Jackee Harry. They have five single daughters, Lizzie (Tiffany Hines), Jane (Raney Branch), Mary (Brittney Level), Lydia (Reginae Carter), and Kitty (Alexia Bailey).
Mrs. Bennet, who is the author of a self-help book on how to find the perfect husband, decides to put into practice what she wrote by pairing Lizzie with Will Darcy (Juan Antonio). Rowell will play Darcy’s Aunt Catherine.

Directed by Rhonda Baraka, “Pride and Prejudice: Atlanta” is produced by Big Dreams Entertainment and Swirl Films. Leslie Greif, Naomi Despres, and Tracy McMillan are executive producers. The film is written by Tracy McMillan.
“Pride and Prejudice: Atlanta” airs on Lifetime on June 1 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.
Meanwhile, Rowell, who played Drucilla Winters on “The Young and the Restless,” is set to return to the daytime soap for the tribute episodes to Kristoff St. John, aka Neil Winters, airing this April 29. St. John died at the age of 52 in February.

Shemar Moore (Malcolm Winters) and Mishael Morgan (Hilary Curtis Hamilton) are also coming back to Genoa City. Moore is set to reprise his role as Malcolm, Neil’s brother, as part of the storyline that will give closure to Neil’s story. “The Young and the Restless” spoilers reveal the Genoa City will learn about Neil’s death on April 23.
