Young And The Restless News: Tracey E. Bregman Opens Up About Devastating Personal Loss

The Young and the Restless star Tracey E. Bregman is best known for playing Lauren Fenmore. Last November, Bregman suffered a devastating loss.

The California fire destroyed her home and almost all of her belongings. Ever since, life has been a blur as she has struggled to jump through hoops of insurance claims and continuing to work in the process.

Even though Bregman has a lot to be thankful for, she still is a bit shaken by the fact her home was completely destroyed. She remembers waking up very early around 1:30 a.m. before the fire hit. Bregman was sleeping at her boyfriend’s house and then drove to her Malibu home and picked up her dogs.

Later that day, her home was engulfed in flames. She lost everything, except one box a man that worked for her was able to save. One of those items she was able to save was her Emmy award and a few important papers. Everything else was destroyed in the fire. While she realizes everything is replaceable, it is still a very tough thing to go through.

Bregman’s home was only three years old and she was the only owner. Now, the insurance company wants her to rebuild on the property, a process that could take two years. Until then, she is living in a rental property.

The actress still has times when the emotions of losing her home and belongings really get to her. She said that her youngest son, age 22, took it the hardest as he was away at the time and lost everything.

After almost months of not seeing Lauren, the next few weeks she will be present. She will work hard to protect Fenmores, as Jabot experiences a CEO change and an uncertain future.

Lauren will try to protect her company and will consult Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) to see if he can help her get out of her Jabot buy out deal.
