The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Adam And Nick War Heats Up – Christian Pays The Price

Young and The Restless: Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow)- Adam Newman (Mark Grossman)

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) behaved badly during the custody hearing on ‘The Young and the Restless’. The judge really had no choice but to create a temporary solution.

While Christian Newman’s (Jamie and Alister Tobias) future is in limbo, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) at least provides a familiar face and environment for Adam’s son and Nick’s nephew to live in during an intermediary period. A decision will come this fall, with one man possibly losing full-time access to the boy he considers to be his own.

The Young and the Restless Spoiler – Adam Newman is Christian Newman’s Father

Adam isn’t right about a lot, or that often. But he is totally on point about being Christian’s biological father. That fact has fueled his desire to gain custody and allowed him supervised visitation.

The judge pointed out, just prior to all parties leaving the hearing room, that Adam hadn’t sought a relationship with Christian until now. Combine that with the generally ungrateful attitude he evidenced toward his own brother, who’s cared for the boy for the majority of his life, and Adam should be thankful that he’s even allowed contact with his second-born son.

Y&R Spoiler – Nick Newman Is Christian Newman’s Only Father Figure

Nick’s battle for Christian didn’t start now. As Y&R fans recall, the first part of this young man’s life was filled with upheaval.

Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) assumed motherhood of Sage Newman’s (Kelly Sullivan) child, in an attempt to pass off the boy she called Sully as Dylan McAvoy’s (Steve Burton) son. Sage didn’t tell Nick that Christian was actually Adam’s child. Ironically, Sharon was the person Nick was with when he received the expected paternity test results.

Another plus for Nick is that he agreed to Adam’s (as then played by Justin Hartley) request that he help to watch over Connor Newman (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) when he (Adam) expected to be jailed for an extended period of time. The Newman brothers memorable sit-down in the visitor’s room at the prison three years ago created that seemingly sincere accord.

Nick believed that Adam was making the request based on his confidence in him. But it was also true that Adam wanted both of his sons to remain close while he was gone. The subsequent escape Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) orchestrated and the cabin blast then changed the course of history, leading all involved to today.

Young and the Restless Spoiler – Christian Newman’s Experience Will Determine His Fate

This three month period will allow an evaluation. Sometime around Halloween a follow-through ruling will be made.

Christian’s experience with Victoria isn’t intended to become an issue. Rather, how he reacts to being separated from Nick and the interactions he has with Adam will be vital.

Soap fans suspect that various bits of drama will be sprinkled into the mix, with those ingredients creating reactions. Then, as the final decision day draws near, the future of Adam’s son and the boy Nick considers as his child will be made. This storyline outcome isn’t fully predictable.
