‘The Young and the Restless’ (YR) Poll: Does Sharon Have Unresolved Romantic Feelings For Adam?

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is a complex man on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But are his actions toward Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) a reflection of the love he still holds for her, or is he simply using her good nature as a form of manipulation? Actually, a better question would focus on Sharon.

Clearly Adam still is attracted to Sharon. That’s why he had the dream about her a handful of nights ago. It’s clearly possible, if not certain, that he does care for her on some level, but is playing off his perception of Sharon’s feelings for him in order to further his goals. Adam wants Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) back right now.

Y&R has nicely refreshed hardcore viewer’s memories about ‘Shadam’s’ history. In so doing, newer fans of the show are also caught up to speed.

Adam’s claim that they had a deeper connection than any other pairing she’s been involved in is fully debatable. ‘Shick’ was, is, and will forever remain Sharon’s top relationship, which is also true for Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) due to at least three factors. They were each other’s first real loves, their history tops all duo’s each has a been part of, and they have two children together.

As for Adam’s statement that he and Sharon have unresolved feelings for each other, Case’s classic character’s reaction may prove telling. She was angered and stormed out of the tack house.

That could have reflected her reaction to his ingratitude after all that she’d done recently, meaning pausing her life to travel to Las Vegas, Nevada, where Sharon served as a key source of personal, trusted contact. But her follow-up action this week, after she returned to the cottage and cavorted with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), appeared to go beyond miffed status.

Adam is a master button-pusher. So his roil of Sharon, on its own, doesn’t prove that he’s right about remnants of ‘Shadam’ existing in 2019.

Y&R Spoilers: Sharon Newman’s Coming Choices Could Be Critical

As late spring turns into summer, Sharon’s coming choices will be critical. If she’s seen daydreaming about Adam, or can’t stop herself from being around him, then sure, she’s interested.

While her relationship with Rey is freshly developing, there’s no doubt that ‘Shey’ has legitimate chemistry. Whether Sharon still loves Adam, or if so, loves him more than Rey, is yet to be seen.
