The Young and the Restless Spoilers Friday, December 13: Adam & Chelsea’s Fight Brings Connor’s Plea – Phyllis Riles Chance with Vegas Clues

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, December 13, tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will work on a gift for Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri). At home, Billy worries about the dollhouse having to be perfect before Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) appears. He fills Victoria in on what he’s up to and denies avoiding her lately.

After Victoria steps away for a call, Billy ponders why he keeps holding things back. He later tries confiding in Victoria, but they just end up making love before Victoria heads to work again. Billy finds himself back at the dive bar, where Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) urges him to sit. They discuss Billy feeling like everything’s perfect in his life except him, and Amanda talks about her trust issues.

After speaking with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) briefly, Victoria texts Billy from the office to let him know she loves him. At Crimson Lights, Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) amused when Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) whacks the jukebox and rants about it needing an upgrade. Phyllis joins Nick at a table, which gives them a chance to debate Phyllis’ firing and the situation with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).

Phyllis argues that if Nick hadn’t dropped out of the race due to Chelsea, he would’ve won his run for city councilman. Before Nick takes off, he suggests the scene Phyllis made at the jukebox got him out of his funk. At Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) penthouse, he speaks to Chelsea about Connor’s lies. Adam wants to figure out how to call Connor out on his deception without him getting defensive.

Chelsea notes that they’re lying as well. She feels like Connor has a fantasy of them getting back together, but they’re not a couple. Chelsea thinks Connor needs to understand that and cope with it. Adam gets worked up over Nick since he assumes his brother’s behind this. He suspects Nick wants Chelsea to believe moving in was a bad idea.

As Adam and Chelsea’s argument gets heated, Connor hears them and comes downstairs. He doesn’t want his mom to go and starts crying about it being Sharon’s fault. Adam assures Connor that Sharon isn’t to blame, but Connor keeps talking about the monster wanting them apart. He continues to cry and wants Chelsea to promise she’ll come home.

Chelsea winds up at Nick’s place soon after, but she’s just there to get more clothes. She acknowledges how difficult this must be for Nick, and he mentions that it’s also been difficult for Christian Newman (Alex Wilson). The kid’s been asking questions about Chelsea, Connor and if they’re coming back to Nick’s house. Nick admits he doesn’t have the answers and doesn’t know if he can keep doing this. He wonders if Chelsea can.

At the Grand Phoenix, “Chance” Chancellor texts Abby before sparring with Phyllis. She arrives to rant about her firing and how she intends to prove she’s innocent. When Chance suggests Phyllis should take it somewhere else, she asks if she should take it to Vegas. Chance calls Phyllis’ bluff, but she’s got at least a few details. Phyllis brings up a duffel bag, a gun and another sleazy guy that was involved.

Chance is miffed over Phyllis’ pursuit of leverage, but she insists he’s not getting rid of her. Phyllis realizes whatever went down in Vegas was big and wants to find out exactly what it is. Chance is done talking to Phyllis, but he thinks she should consider why she has to fill her empty life by digging up dirt.

Abby finds Chance later so they can have the drink they agreed upon. She’s curious if Chance has made a decision on her head of security offer. Although Chance is tempted and intends to stay in town, he doesn’t accept and isn’t sure what he’ll do in GC. They share a toast to the future before Chance asks Abby out on a date.

Back at Adam’s place, Connor awakens and gets reassurance that his mom’s still coming home. Adam checks his phone and sees that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is trying to get in touch, but he doesn’t bother picking up.
