Michael E Knight Teases New Role As Martin Gray on General Hospital

The showrunners of “General Hospital” made the right move when they decided to cast “All My Children” alum Michael E. Knight to portray a new character on the soap. The actor won the heart of millions of viewers when he played the role of Tad Martin on AMC for thirty years.

Now, he’ll definitely become another fan-favorite as he joins the cast of “General Hospital.” His alter-ego is a lawyer and viewers are wondering how he’s connected to AMC’s Tad Martin. Some fans even believe that he’s Tad The Cad in disguise. So, what can viewers expect from his new character?

Knight said he’s humbled by all the support after the news broke that he’s joining the show. Knight revealed that he doesn’t know anything about his new character aside from the fact that he’s a lawyer.

“The guy is literally a blank slate,” he said. “It’s whatever Chris and Dan want to do,” he added. Although there are things that are happening that he can make public, he can safely say that he’s working on some interesting stuff.

“’Let’s see where this goes.’ But I really don’t know. They can take this any direction they want,” Knight explained.

GH Spoilers – Knight Hopes To Work With Maurice Benard

When asked who he wants to work with in the future, he said it would be his friend Maurice Benard, who plays Sonny Corinthos. “We also go back a long, long time. He’s grown into such a powerful actor,” Knight said.

He also loves working with Chloe Lanier who plays Nelle Benson. He described her as a very talented young actress. Plus, he has many old friends on this show including Genie Francis who plays Laura Spencer, Steve Burton. He’s also a fan of Michael Easton and Roger Howarth.

General Hospital Spoilers – Does He Want The Good Guy or a Villain?

When asked about what would excite him most in terms of the storyline and if he wants to be a villain, a mobster, or whatnot, he simply said: “it’s all pretty exciting.” He added that he’s still trying to get a feel for the show and that he’ll need a few months to really internalize. Knight also mentioned that he’s hoping the writers will take time in developing his character.
