General Hospital Recap Monday, January 7: Scott Saves Laura - Oscar Is DyingGeneral Hospital (GH) recap for Monday, January 7, 2019, reveals Laura (Genie Frances) is looking for Sonny (Maurice Benard) at the gym. Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) touches her on the shoulder, and she asks what he is going there, he says he followed her.

Scott Tells Ryan Too Much

Laura and Ryan talk about her plans for the future while he unlaces a boxing glove. Ryan volunteers to help keep an eye on things at Ferncliff while she is running the city. Laura and Ryan talk more about Ferncliff until she notices he is cutting off his circulation in his hands and tells him to stop. Laura asks Ryan if he needs to tell her something. Ryan says he wanted to tell Laura something since she came home. Scotty (Kin Shriner) interrupts Ryan and Laura.

Scotty tells Laura and Ryan that Peyton (John Patrick Jordan) was making this documentary about Ryan. Scott tells them the cops believe the killer stole the footage because he has a connection to Ryan. Scott says the cops hope the killer makes a mistake and gets caught. Scotty tells them the killer is getting too cocky. Ryan mentions other killers who police didn’t catch. Scotty tells Laura and Ryan about Gail’s (Susan Brown) death. Laura wants to have coffee and talk. Ryan makes a noose and hangs it on the boxing ring.

Oscar Plans For The Future

General Hospital’s Jocelyn (Eden McCoy) brings Oscar (Garren Stitt) cookies; he’s supposed to be released tomorrow. Oscar is making plans for the future with Jocelyn. Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) and Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) show up in Oscar’s room for a visit. Jocelyn questions Shiloh. Kristina asks Oscar and Jocelyn to join them at their next community event. Jocelyn tells Oscar that Drew (Billy Miller) saved Shiloh in Afghanistan. Oscar questions if Drew recognized Shiloh.

Oscar asks Shiloh for information about Drew’s past. Oscar introduces Shiloh and Kim (Tamara Braun). Shiloh asks if Oscar is coming back soon, he declines and wants to go home with his mom. Oscar is glad he and Jocelyn get to do things together. Oscar wonders what happens after he goes to school, will everyone know what happened to him.

Oscar’s Results Aren’t Good

General Hospital’s Kim is waiting for information about the drug trial. Terri (Cassandra James) wants to talk to both Drew and Kim together. Kim says Drew can be there at a moments notice. Terri tells Kim that love helps and Jocelyn is a force of nature. Kim is thrilled that Oscar is eating again and acting like his old self. Terri shows Drew and Kim Oscar’s test results, the tumor hasn’t shrunk and is still inoperable.

Kim says it means Oscar is going to die. Terri tells Drew that Kim’s assessment is right. Drew says they need to tell Oscar. Kim wants to give Oscar one more day of hope. Drew tells Kim one day becomes a week, and that becomes a month. Drew tells Kim they promised Oscar honesty and they need to give it to him. Kim and Drew want to talk to Oscar alone about his results; he wants Jocelyn to stay.

Drew Confronts Julian

General Hospital’s Drew confronts Julian (William DeVry) at Charlie’s. Drew tells Julian he isn’t treating Kim right. Julian agrees and says it’s a good thing it’s over. Drew wants to know what Kim did to make Julian hurt her. Julian demands Drew leave; he says he isn’t done with Julian yet.

Drew finally pushes until Julian tells him that he saw Kim and Drew kissing. Drew says it was just a little kiss, nothing important. Drew tells Julian he never deserved Kim if a little kiss could break them up. Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) questions why Julian lied to Drew about sleeping with another woman. Julian tells Alexis that Drew is the man for Kim, not him. Alexis asks Julian if he let Drew think she slept with her.

Sam and Jason Discover Hank’s Identity

General Hospital’s Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Jason (Steve Burton) are discussing Kristina. Sam thinks she is a bad sister, Jason disagrees. Alexis interrupts their conversation and wants to talk to Kristina. Sam tells Alexis that Kristina moved out. Sam tells Alexis that Kristina is living with Daisy (Kelsey Wang) and her friends, Alexis feels good about that. Alexis thanks Sam and Jason for looking out for Kristina. Sam is investigating Dawn of Day while Jason is looking through Hank’s (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) book.

Jason reads a page to Sam. Sam and Jason believe Hank is laying it on too thick. Sam doesn’t like the direction this is going. Jason wants to know what he is running from and why he had to reinvent himself. Jason tells Sam that D.H. Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) was the founder of Dawn of Day. Sam asks what D.H. stands for and he tells her. Sam tells Jason he is one of her ex-husband’s only son.

Sam tells Jason that Henry Archer was big in publishing and all he wanted was a trophy wife. Sam never met Hank because he said she was a gold digging tramp who was after his inheritance. Jason says Hank may be waiting to see if Sam recognizes him. Sam and Jason read the Dawn of Day website and discuss how Hank is too connected to people they care about to leave this alone.

Sam makes a brainstorm map of people connected to Hank. Sam puts herself in the middle, and she and Jason know the emails aren’t a coincidence. Hank tells Kristina he is willing to help her discover anything she wants to about herself.
