Days of Our Lives alum Peter Reckell (Bo Brady) is going through a very difficult time in his life right now. The daytime television actor is suffering a personal loss as his mother has just passed away. Peter played Bo from 1983 to 2006. Here’s what you need to know.

Peter’s wife Kelly Moneymaker updated his fans by writing a message on Twitter. She shared, “My beautiful, kind, compassionate, intelligent, funny, energetic, hard-working, resilient mother-in-law has transitioned. Peter is with his entire family, so please be patient while he processes this massive loss. She was a very special human being and deeply loved.”

Peter Reckell’s Mom Passed Away

A lot of Peter’s fans commented on the post with, “So very sorry to hear this. No matter how long we have our loved ones, it is never long enough. The greater the love, the deeper the pain. But, as hard as it may be to believe, the pain will ease with the passage of time,” along with, “I am so sorry to hear about Peter loss of his Mother. Losing a parent is extremely difficult to process. May you both heal.”

Another fan wrote, “So very sorry for your loss. My most heartfelt and deepest condolences to you, Peter, Loden, and all the family. May you all find comfort and strength in the beautiful memories you have of her and for the precious gift of her loving heart, that she shared with you all.”

DOOL Fans Post Their Support For Peter

In addition to his work on Days of Our Lives, Peter also starred in the television movie The Grove and the television series Venice. He also had a guest appearance on 30 Rock as his Days of Our Lives character, Bo Brady, back in 2009. The actor hasn’t starred in any projects since 2016.
