“The Bold and the Beautiful” spoilers for Friday, January 4, tease that the CBS soap will celebrate a significant milestone. They’ll air the 8,000th episode of B&B, which is certainly something to celebrate. Ordinarily, the birth of a brand-new baby would be something to celebrate as well. Unfortunately, that won’t be the case for Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle).

Hope’s stuck on Catalina Island and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) is still racing to her bedside. Their separation will be a crucial part of Dr. Reese Buckingham’s (Wayne Brady) shocking plan, which is quickly coming together. He’ll have darkness on his side with that power outage and there’s apparently a spare dead baby he can use for a swap.

A woman was recently spotted speaking with Reese. He assured her that what happened wasn’t her fault, so her baby may have been stillborn or took her last breath shortly after being born. Regardless, the scene was important and will definitely come back into play later. It makes sense that Reese would try to switch a dead baby out for Hope’s live one. Why? Money!

“The Bold and the Beautiful” spoilers say Hope’s sudden medical crisis will provide the perfect opportunity. She doesn’t know what’s happening at the moment, so Reese can tell her whatever he wants. Hope won’t have any reason to believe Reese is lying if she wakes up and he hands over a dead child.
