The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: That Old Shick Feeling is Back – Sharon Falling For Nick

Mariah (Camryn Grimes) was right on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Sharon (Sharon Case) is making eyes at Nick (Joshua Morrow). Yes, that old ‘Shick’ feeling may be on its way back.

The idea of Sharon asking Nick to move in with her about a year ago would have been preposterous, even in soap opera land. Morrow’s character was reeling from the shock of learning Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) hadn’t died. He was alive in the form of Sully (also played by the McGuigen twins), who Sharon purposely pretend was her and Dylan’s (Steve Burton) son.

However, Sharon was in the process of being written back to her glory days. Since last spring she’s earned respect by taking full responsibility for what she did. During this period she’s maintained her mental health by staying on her meds, is operating Crimson Lights, volunteering at the Crisis Center, taking college classes and, most importantly, is honestly caring for her family.

Nick came to trust Sharon. As viewers recall, he’s the one who broke the news to his ex-wife about Scott’s (Daniel Hall) duplicity. That friendly assistance is being paid back by Sharon’s accepted offer to crash at ‘Shick’s’ original home, the cottage.

Of course, the impetus for the regained trust between this one-time couple was Sharon’s choice to tell Nick that Christian was Adam’s (Justin Hartley) son. She was attacked while initially attempting to do so, which served to elicit Nick’s compassion and respect.

Christian needed stability after Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) ran away from Genoa City with Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) in tow. Sharon was obviously an important part of Christian’s early life. She provides him with a familiar presence. Being able to live with Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) provides Nick with a meaningful bonus as well.

While Nick doesn’t appear to be falling back in love with Sharon, there will be plenty of opportunities for ‘Shick’s’ bond to renew the longer he and Christian live at the cottage. Fans who believe in redemption would like to see this modern-day sequel happen. So maybe it will.
